Oppose Joe Manchin’s Veterans Gun Ban

and National Gun Registry

Reports out of Capitol Hill reveal that just-reelected turncoat West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin is about to stick a big knife in the back of American gun owners. And to make matters worse, he's lying about what he’s doing.

Both Manchin and House anti-gun crazy Carolyn McCarthy are claiming to be “working with NRA” to enact gun bans and national gun registries. NRA says flatly that Manchin is lying, and we believe he is. (The Hill, 1/24/13)

Ironically, Manchin was the “gun owner's best friend” on November 5 -- the day before his reelection to a six-year term let him to pull a great big “gotcha” on those West Virginians who were tricked into believing his representations.

But make no mistake about it: Joe Manchin’s draft would impose a gun ban on veterans and would set up the framework for a national gun registry.

150,000 honest law-abiding veterans are currently in the NICS system. They didn’t do anything wrong; they honorably served their country. But when they sought VA counseling for a traumatic combat experience, the VA appointed a fiduciary to oversee their fiscal affairs and then took away their guns. And, again, there are 150,000 honest veterans in the system.

New York Senator Charles Schumer viciously fought a Coburn amendment on the DoD bill which would require that veterans get their day in court before their rights were taken away from them, and he won.

What the Manchin bill is about is insuring that “bad guys” like veterans can’t get guns. And, under Barack Obama's “Executive Action #1,” the NICS list could soon include tens of millions of additional soldiers, police, firemen, and other law-abiding Americans.

But veteran disarmament is not the only problem with Joe Manchin’s gun ban.

Manchin's bill would set the framework for a national gun registry and impose a chokehold on gun sales. There are at least four big reasons for this:

FIRST: Every gun owner in the country would have a “Form 4473.” Increasingly, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives are going into gun dealerships and illegally copying all of those 4473's.

SECOND: The FBI refuses to tell us how or whether it's complying with federal law by destroying the Brady Check names, rather than keeping them for a national gun registry.

THIRD: As it is, the Brady Check system is breaking down on days such as last year’s Black Friday -- outlawing all gun purchases. If you have to drive 200 miles from your farm to sell your gun to your neighbor, this effectively outlaws any efforts to sell or buy a gun.

FOURTH: Increasingly, the FBI is blocking transfers because someone’s name is “similar” to someone else. When the legal purchaser complains, the FBI's response is “Sue us!”

I did not vote my conscience in the last two elections and in so doing, I am haunted because I really do practice "to thine own self be true". And I let myself down. Know why? I listened to propaganda. I knew Obama would win by any means possible and that a vote cast for a Republican or any other candidate would not count at all. However, since the Republicans have shown me to be deceitful, weak, spineless, dishonest, lazy incompetents, I will be choosing an alternate party. There are alternatives out there. I cannot ever vote Republican again. Turn yourself inside out to convince me and I won't care. Especially when there is so much voter fraud that a 146 per cent of the voters elected the fraud-in-chief and no one cared to dispute it to where the vote was counted correctly exactly as in thoroughly vetting the pretender to the presidency. All those people we sent to Washington, DC, didn't care and they didn't care about how we felt. They laughed at us for daring to understand that he couldn't hold a job at the municipal animal shelter because he couldn't show a record of his past.

The candidate the Republicans chose ran against his will (so one of his sons said), was uninspired, and was never going to win. That was decided long before the election. The Republicans we sent to Washington are too quick to compromise with the Obama regime and the existing RINOS. We don't want compromise. Look at what it's got us. It got us a dictator, and they are fine with that. Wait until the DHS/TSA (Obama's private army) bullets start flying and the tanks start rolling under martial law because make no mistake, if the Marxist/Communists/social/progressives have their way on the Second Amendment, it's sure to happen. They won't know what to do.

Do you really think we would be at this point if Ron Paul had been elected? Would we be facing $20K, IRS-enforced payments for Obamacare within months? A DHS/TSA armed to the teeth to kill us? Until we find a strong, dynamic, phosphorescent, magnetic candidate from an alternate party, the USA won't survive. It is the only known photo of Obama with a gun, and also comes amid a White House-backed push for stronger gun control regulations in the U.S.

The photo shows Obama targeting clay pigeons at the presidential retreat last August, which he said he does "all the time" during stays at the compound.

The comment, in an interview last Sunday, was a response to a question of whether he had ever held a firearm. Obama told the New Republic:

"Not the girls, but oftentimes guests of mine go up there. I have a profound respect for the traditions of hunting that trace back in this country for generations."

"And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake."

Given the current political atmosphere and polarizing gun control debate, some questioned whether the claim was an embellishment or even true at all.

Politicians who use firearms often advertise that fact to gun owners, but in four years in office and two national campaigns, Obama has never brought it up.

"If he is a skeet shooter, why have we not heard of this?" asked Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN). "Why has he not referenced it at any point [during this] gun debate?"

"Why have we not seen photos?"

Asked about the president's interview, Press Secretary Jay Carney responded "I would refer you simply to his comments," he said. "I don't know how often."

Carney noted that when Obama travels to "Camp David, he goes to spend time with his family and friends and relax, not to produce photographs."

Some Obama supporters have already brushed off critics as "skeeters," a play on the "birthers" like Donald Trump who doubted he was a U.S. citizen.

"Attn skeet birthers. Make our day - let the photoshop conspiracies begin!" senior adviser and 2008 campaign manager David Plouffe wrote on Twitter.

Conspiracy or not, and no matter how curiously timed the photo's release may be, what can't be refuted is the President's commitment to reform.

Ashley usually gets shoulder time in the a.m. and we start up the computer and she watches Ruby the Swearing African Grey or Pierre on Youtube. She whistles and talks to them and tries to feed my ear.
You can see her naked shoulder. She mutilated herself - her chest is bare, her legs are bare except for a few small feathers, and so is the area of her belly and butt, but she does have a pretty red tail. The plucking results when they are left alone, and she was left alone for weeks at a time in her past life. So please, don't adopt a hookbill if your schedule takes you away from them. They are quite human. As I type this, she is on my shoulder making little holes in my blouse. That's ok - shirts from the thrift store do me just fine. I go through them quite often.

She has taken up a bad habit which is getting off her cage by sliding down the legs and walking around to find me. She is so old she doesn't fly. So apparently, she is fearless and no threat to dogs and cats, whereas Margaret is a valkyrie, and has everyone bamboozled. I have to wear a hat at breakfast. And destructive?

Baker breaks Oregon Law by refusing to bake cake for same sex couples

Oregon is a very liberal state so it doesn't surprise me that they have enacted some liberal laws, however, this seems to be a State overstepping Federal Constitutional rights. Where do we draw the line? If I am a business owner shouldn't I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone? Not according to Oregon's Equality Act of 2007.

Aaron Klein, owner of Sweet Cakes in Gresham, Ore., is under investigation for illegally refusing to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple, claiming it conflicted with his religious beliefs. Klein also allegedly felt compelled to inform one of the brides that her relationship was an "abomination unto the Lord." Klein is now being investigated by the Oregon Attorney General's civil enforcement officers for violating the Oregon Equality Act of 2007, which has no exception for religious beliefs. Meanwhile, the Fashion Police are looking into Klein's violating the Vans T-shirt Ban of 1998. Source

Klein on Friday denied making the harsh statement, but admitted to a KATU reporter on camera that he did deny her service.

“I apologized for wasting their time and said we don’t do same-sex marriages,” he said. I “honestly did not mean to hurt anybody, didn’t mean to make anybody upset, (it’s) just something I believe in very strongly.”

But religious beliefs aren’t enough to cover him under state law. The Oregon Equality Act of 2007 prohibits discrimination against people based on their sexual orientation and gender identity. The statute includes public accommodations, such as businesses.

Klein emphasized the importance of his religious beliefs, saying it outweighs his bottom line and the state law.

“If I have to be to, I guess, be penalized for my beliefs, then I guess, well, that’ll be what it is,” he said.

The question now: whether his constitutional rights outweigh state statute.

“My First Amendment rights allow me to practice my religion as I see it,” Klein said.

We asked Portland attorney Paula Barran whether this case falls under the 2007 statute. She said it did, but added that she did not know how the owner’s religious beliefs would factor in.

“Statutes don’t get to overcome constitutional protections, so if somebody had a religious-based reason for wanting not to trade with somebody, I think you have a really interesting test case for whether or not a statute like this can apply,” Barran said. There is no exception under the state's anti-discrimination law for religious beliefs. Ultimately, the case would be up for a judge to decide.

We will continue to see this sort of overstepping state by state unless "we the conservatives" get involved at the local level and recruit others to join us to stop this constant assault of our Constitutional rights.

We need to stand with the Aaron Kleins of the world! We need to be Aaron Klein and stand up for what we believe even if that means we are taken to court. If we don't act now one day we'll be sitting in the communist states of America.

The Oregon Equality Act is ridiculous piece of legislation used as a liberal response to "discrimination of LGBT" and needs to be overturned.

On February 23, there will be a day of National Resistance across the nation. What does that mean? Speeches in the park? Flags? Horns honking support? People lining the streets with signs waving?
