Gun Owners of America Oppose Joe Manchin’s Veterans Gun Ban and National Gun Registry   Reports out of Capitol Hill reveal that just-reelected turncoat West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin is about to stick a big knife in the back of American gun owners.  And to make matters worse, he's lying about what he’s doing. Both Manchin and House anti-gun crazy Carolyn McCarthy are claiming to be “working with NRA” to enact gun bans and national gun registries.  NRA says flatly that Manchin is lying, and we believe he is. (The Hill, 1/24/13) Ironically, Manchin was the “gun owner's best friend” on November 5 -- the day before his reelection to a six-year term let him to pull a great big “gotcha” on those West Virginians who were tricked into believing his representations. But make no mistake about it:  Joe Manchin’s draft would impose a gun ban on veterans and would set up the framework for a national gun registry. 150,000 honest law-abiding veterans are currently in the NICS system.  They didn’t do anything wrong; they honorably served their country.  But when they sought VA counseling for a traumatic combat experience, the VA appointed a fiduciary to oversee their fiscal affairs and then took away their guns.  And, again, there are 150,000 honest veterans in the system. New York Senator Charles Schumer viciously fought a Coburn amendment on the DoD bill which would require that veterans get their day in court before their rights were taken away from them, and he won. What the Manchin bill is about is insuring that “bad guys” like veterans can’t get guns.  And, under Barack Obama's “Executive Action #1,” the NICS list could soon include tens of millions of additional soldiers, police, firemen, and other law-abiding Americans. But veteran disarmament is not the only problem with Joe Manchin’s gun ban. Manchin's bill would set the framework for a national gun registry and impose a chokehold on gun sales.  There are at least four big reasons for this: FIRST:  Every gun owner in the country would have a “Form 4473.”  Increasingly, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives are going into gun dealerships and illegally copying all of those 4473's. SECOND:  The FBI refuses to tell us how or whether it's complying with federal law by destroying the Brady Check names, rather than keeping them for a national gun registry. THIRD:  As it is, the Brady Check system is breaking down on days such as last year’s Black Friday -- outlawing all gun purchases.  If you have to drive 200 miles from your farm to sell your gun to your neighbor, this effectively outlaws any efforts to sell or buy a gun. This is the Dept. of HOMELAND Security - the great misnomer.  It is Obama's private army, as well financed or better than the American military, and they are going to come after us.

Last night I posted Wayne La Pierre's speech in front of the UN, against the civilian arms section of the Small Arms Treaty.  I hate to say it - it was disappointing in that NO global organization that functions as a fomenter of war in other countries, has a right to impose its will on any sovereign country, with or without the rights of the citizen to keep and bear arms for self-protection against criminals and their own dictators.

Face it, America!  We are in the end time of our sovereignty, and will see the end of our freedom and liberty if Obama is not stopped before the election.

Hillary Clinton is equally pushing us into the abyss of third world dictatorship.  She is no angel.

You need to find out how your Sheriffs, police departments, military men and women, Representatives and Senators at all levels feel about this.

There will be UN troops on our streets, and a dictator forever in the White House and the blood shed in our streets and homes is going to be something we never even dreamed of...blood will run into our gutters and turn our outfalls red.

Our lawns will be saturated with blood.

So will the bodies of our families and friends; our homes filled with human tissue and body parts, just like on television in other countries.

I think it may be too late  for elections and ballot boxes because they will be skewed in favor of Lord Obama.

You believe what you hear from our media.  It cannot be trusted; so maybe it's time to turn on the truth with conservative radio like Alex Jones and start to prepare.  Do not even believe me.  Do your own research.

Think of me as Chicken Little?  In these times of turmoil, the sky just may fall.

Who knows - that little drone with the tiny missile could come roaring in on any of us.

You are surveilled beyond any imagination.  You are controlled in every aspect of your life.

You are being conditioned to think and act submissively; not to think for yourselves, but in a collective way.

the McDonald Case

One wonders if NRA members should be proud of their organization’s apparent newfound fiduciary conservatism. The so-called “premier” gun rights organization has now managed to finagle its way into the spotlight after someone else’s sweat and money rented the hall, built the stage, and set up the sound system.

NRA lawyers are now second guessing pro-gun lawyer Alan Gura’s expertise. And this, after Gura masterminded and navigated the vitally crucial landmark Heller case to a victorious decision in favor of the Second Amendment.

The NRA’s leadership must have looked at each other and realized that (coming so close on the coat tails of Heller) McDonald actually had a good chance at victory. I can just hear them clinking their drinks in toast and chuckling: “Gura will likely win this one too. Let’s get on board now!”

All that might not be so bad, but look who the NRA has hired as their head counsel in this wedge into McDonald: Paul Clement, the very attorney who advocated against our gun rights in Heller!

That’s right, Clement led the federal government’s charge to protect the Washington D.C. ban on handgun ownership!

Here are some of Paul Clements espousals during Heller. These are from Clement’s oral arguments to SCOTUS and from the written brief filed in the case. He penned or uttered these little nuggets of liberty loving patriotism.

“In our view it makes a world of difference, Justice Ginsburg, because we certainly take the position, as we have since consistently since 2001, that the Federal firearm statutes can be defended as constitutional, and that would be consistent with this kind of intermediate scrutiny standard that we propose.”

Oh yeah?

Now take a look at this one:

“The Second Amendment talks about "the right to bear arms", not just "a right to bear arms". And that preexisting always coexisted with reasonable regulations of firearms.”

Don’t you love the word “reasonable”? It sound so…so reasonable! Unfortunately what Clement is talking about here is a ban on the possession of a handgun in your own home for your own self defense!

And here’s an intriguingly slippery one for you:

“Absolutely, Justice Ginsburg, and just... I mean, to give you a clear example, we would take the position that the kind of plastic guns or guns that are specifically designed to evade metal detectors that are prohibited by Federal law are not "arms" within the meaning of the Second Amendment and are not protected at all.”

Hmmm…. Very lawyerly. I’m not going to comment on that one. Just read it a couple of times for your own smell test.

And now a couple of tidbits from Paul Clement’s written brief in Heller:

"Given the unquestionable threat to public safety that unrestricted private firearm possession would entail, various categories of firearm-related regulations are permitted by the Second Amendment."

How does “shall not be infringed” somehow sneak past this guy’s obviously impressive intellect?

Some icing on the cake:

“Nothing in the Second Amendment, properly understood -- and certainly no principle necessary to decide this case — calls for invalidation of numerous federal laws regulating firearms.”

Oh boy…

Yes, friends, this is the man the NRA has hired to defend your gun rights in the unbelievably crucial McDonald vs. The City of Chicago case.

This is the same NRA that still believes the BATFE has a warm and fuzzy place in our lives. See: "NRA Letter"

This is also the same NRA that has not called for the completed destruction of “gun control” laws. And it’s the same NRA that does not appear to have a problem with Nazi “gun control” laws used as a basis for “The Gun Control Act of 1968”. In a recent JPFO alert article I speculated on what might knock McDonald off the rails. Paul Clement is like a shark who just tried to bite our legs off. And now the NRA has crashed the pool party and tossed him in with us! Is it “hire a crook to catch a crook” logic? How can Clement’s oral arguments in the upcoming McDonald case possibly be all that effective? Those nine Justices (four of whom are obviously anti-gun Liberals) might truly wonder to themselves: “Hey! This guy was here about a year ago and argued the exact opposite of what we’re hearing now!”

Hey NRA, do you call that good legal strategy? And more importantly: Do you really want a McDonald victory?

I don't know what to say regarding this, except that you have got to understand that these weapons that apparently frighten you so, are coming in from other countries, not the USA, and so why should you be denied your rights to even OWN them if you want to. They are legal.

Are you that afraid of carrying your own weapon, whether it is a tiny Deringer type or a Glock automatic for personal defense. And if you wanted something that resembles a military rifle, and it's legal, go for it. They don't self-destruct, they don't go off by themselves. You'd better know how to use one, to commit to killing a perpetrator in case of a personal emergency or home invasion but for crying out loud, where is your courage to fight against something like this?

The right is yours!

It is guaranteed by the Constitution as a right given to you the infant, the minute you were born, saw the light in your eyes, and went "waaaaaa". And the right to your freedom and liberty was given by God.

Don't argue with God.
