Over the last two years the Libertarian Party of Florida has changed for the better.   As a Party we stand on the cusp of becoming the choice for the voters of Florida and supplying the vision and competition so lacking in our political process.

Certainly, this transformation was not the effort of any one person.  It took  the combined efforts of dozens of dedicated, hard-working, self-sacrificing Libertarians throughout the state who know in their hearts that individual rights, free markets, and limited government are what lead to liberty, happiness, and prosperity.  They are people who know government is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.  They made the Libertarian Party of Florida the team to speak truth to power, and show our fellow citizens that there is a better choice out there.

It’s been my privilege to be a part of this team, and I would like to continue to be so.  I bring with me the traits that have served me well in the past, my dedication, reliability and vision.

I am dedicated to making Florida the first state with an effective Libertarian opposition to the Republican and Democrat Parties.  We are making gains in the Panhandle, where I live, and since 2010 it is, arguably, the most Libertarian voting part of the state.  Libertarians are often copied, badly, by the major parties in election campaigns.  However, once elected, both major parties forget their libertarian promises and continue pursuing the same wasteful policies using the force of government as the means.  As a result we have fewer freedoms, a centrally controlled economy, and a government that claims powers that span a grey toned spectrum from “free speech zones” to federally mandated health care.  All the while, we sink hopelessly into debt.  I’ve been at the forefront of bringing this to the attention of the electorate for a long time now.

Next, I am careful about making promises, but when I do, I see them through to the best of my abilities. 

Finally, I know the LPF will take its place as a professionally run and organized political party that can reliably put people and money together to elect candidates to office.   We have already made great strides at doing these tasks, but the LPF needs to improve.  One area is fundraising.  Without money we cannot effectively speak to the millions of our fellow citizens who constantly hear the major party message, nor can we support candidates.  Once we have the means, we need to professionalize as many functions of the LPF as possible by hiring companies and staff to do the massive administrative tasks inherent in talking with millions of people at a distance.  This would build trust in our Party, and free our leadership to pursue more human tasks that help us grow.  We need to augment our influence in the state by encouraging Libertarians to participate in business and civic groups to show them that Libertarians are genuine and plausible leaders who will be there tomorrow. We need to shatter the stereotype that libertarians are ivory tower philosophers or cranks.  Lastly, we need to improve our message by targeting people and issues where force and fraud work against liberty and prosperity; by restoring the power of the individual that was taken by big government.  This vision will take work, but I see myself, and the LPF, up to the task. 

Libertarians can, and should, be at the forefront of Florida governance.  Give me the opportunity to continue working at the State level to help make it happen.  Vote for me for LPF At-Large One Representative.

I did not vote my conscience in the last two  elections and in so doing, I am haunted because I really do practice "to thine own self be true".  And I let myself down.  Know why?  I listened to propaganda.  I knew Obama would win by any means possible and that a vote cast for a Republican or any other candidate would not count at all.  However, since the Republicans have shown me to be  deceitful, weak, spineless, dishonest, lazy incompetents, I will be choosing an alternate party.  There are alternatives out there.  I cannot ever vote Republican again.  Turn yourself inside out to convince me and I won't care.  Especially when there is so much voter fraud that a 146 per cent of the voters elected the fraud-in-chief and no one cared to dispute it to where the vote was counted correctly exactly as in thoroughly vetting the pretender to the presidency.  All those people we sent to Washington, DC, didn't care and they didn't care about how we felt.  They laughed at us for daring to understand that he couldn't hold a job at the municipal animal shelter because he couldn't show a record of his past.

The candidate the Republicans chose ran against his will (so one of his sons said), was uninspired, and was never going to win.  That was decided long before the election.  The Republicans we sent to Washington are too quick to compromise with the Obama regime and the existing RINOS.  We don't want compromise.  Look at what it's got us.  It got us a dictator, and they are fine with that.  Wait until the DHS/TSA (Obama's private army)  bullets start flying and the tanks start rolling under martial law because make no mistake, if the Marxist/Communists/social/progressives have their way on the Second Amendment, it's sure to happen.  They won't know what to do.

Do you really think we would be at this point if Ron Paul had been elected?  Would we be facing $20K, IRS-enforced payments for Obamacare within months?  A DHS/TSA armed to the teeth to kill us?  He talked "funny".  He wasn't physically attractive.  He couldn't communicate well, he had a weird foreign policy...but he sent a loud and clear message to me and he would have defunded Obamacare instantly, abolished the Federal Reserve for starters.

Until we find a strong, dynamic, phosphorescent, magnetic candidate from an alternate party, the USA won't survive.  He or she must be a guided missile intent and focused on defeating every false prophet, every puppet of Soros, etc.  So maybe we should look for someone in the other crop of candidates and push that candidate into the spotlight now, because if we don't we will have the Butcher of Benghazi, Hillary Clinton, sitting in the Oval Office (unless Obama installs a throne in the new Oval Office).  If we as a country, last that long.

CAN WE TALK ABOUT BEING A CANDIDATE FOR PUBLIC OFFICE FOR A SECOND?

For a couple of days now, I've been involved in an internal struggle.  It's been pretty intense.  Last night I fielded a question to some of my friends and acquaintances about asking for donations so that I could run against Steve Southerland, a nice guy (our US Representative and a Republican), but so moderate a conservative he might as well be reading a good book in a hammock in his office. As a former supporter,  I am not impressed with his record, nor am I satisfied with his less-than-dynamic attitude or his poor decisions in voting. Someone wrote that he was a moderate conservative.  I'm sorry.  That is not good enough for this moment in history.

After all,  he held a town meeting not long ago in Destin, FL and no one came.

With the efforts of a newly founded organization, Bay Patriots and Derrell Day, the founder, and a radio talk show host, Burnie Thompson who persuaded us that Steve was "our guy", Bay County cleaned out the barn and sent newcomer Southerland to DC in place of the 30-year incumbent, Allen Boyd, a Democrat "blue dog".

Obama is driving our country  in high gear racing to the precipice of doom, and a do-nothing Congress, which includes Southerland, is walking in thick, deep quicksand slogging along behind at less than a snail's pace.   I am pretty sure if you are reading this blog and using the links, you can see that Congress is bogged down and no one is man or woman enough to stand up and make some demands of their cohorts to rid ourselves of the malignant Obama regime, and start reversing everything he has done to destroy our Constitution, our way of life,  sealing our futures as slaves of the police state called America.

I was going to get on the radio (Derrell's show) and courageously ask for 5,000 people to donate $2.00 each (I'd already been offered $500) so that by June 8 I could register as a Republican candidate, though you know I'm a Constitutional libertarian, to run against Southerland.

Can you believe the fee is $10,440?  Prohibitive on purpose, is my guess.

My plan was to ask for checks and a 45 cent stamp, so that if I missed the required fee and the deadline, the checks would be returned immediately.

Then I heard what cap and trade will be doing in a year to you and I.  Not only did Obama make good on his promise of skyrocketing energy bills, but think about this...how does electricity affect your life?  If you can't afford a $400 bill or more, which very well might happen, that smart meter will disconnect you immediately.  There will have to be some kind of government plan you'll need to survive - taxpayer money = more taxation = subsidy.  This is redistribution of wealth.

What about merchants - from food stores to your barber, to the pet shop, the auto repair guy, the tire shop - how can they afford refrigeration, air conditioning, lights, computers, radios, appliances, healthcare - all the things we had in the safety zone even one day pre-Obama.  You have all been fed a lie - and the UN's Agenda 21 will put us back so far we will be living like babushka grandmothers in Soviet Russia in the cold war '50s.  You will not recognize our formerly free country.

And I realized, send me to Washington - where I would speak up loudly and consistently against this regime and what has happened to our country since the dictator walked into the White House, wouldn't matter one fig.  Congress is infected - whether or not they are Democrats.

I don't think my presence in Congress, loudly calling as soon as the opportunity arose, for the impeachment of those thugs in the White House and the cabinet, would be well received.  I would be ignored. I would be ridiculed and belittled.  I would love to be the squeaky wheel.  I would love to accomplish great things for my country so that in the end of my term, people could sleep easy in their beds at night.  I would call for ending the terror of the DHS, TSA and the Patriot Act.  I would actively seek open carry for my state and all the others, patterned on the State of Vermont.  I would support defunding EPA, the removal of the UN from our shores, audit and end the Federal Reserve and the IRS and rid our country of every trace of Agenda 21.  So much to do, so little time, and I would be slapped down at every turn.

So I expect I would be ineffectual and you would hate me.  But I would have been open and really transparent, and I would keep this blog to let you know on a daily basis how the days are spent and what has transpired and expose how those in Congress tried to lean on me.

The first thing I would do, if I were so fortunate to represent my constituents, is put a little cypress (from Florida) sign on my doorknob.  "Lobbyists Not Welcome - Do Not Enter".

But I guess I don't have to worry much.  I am disillusioned, frustrated, angry and very, very sad.  I am so depressed.  I set my expectations of myself way too high occasionally. 

I am sad that I will see in a very short time, the dream and the ideals of America go down in flames, torched by a dictator who is determined to have full control of you and me, our families, our friends.  Cradle to grave.  Grave in many ways.

Look at what the UK has planned for its population.  That WILL happen here.  It's already happening with a program for livestock.  Totalitarian control.  Orwellian, draconian government.

Did you every think, my left-leaning readers, that that wonderful electric car, will be out of reach to you?  How will you charge it?

Twenty years ago, Chuck Harder told us we would be living in very small government shacks with one 60 watt lightbulb, total slaves to the new world order.  It's coming.  Sooner than we think.

When you go to a community barbecue this Memorial Day Weekend, and your politicians gather - maybe they'll be flipping burgers, kissing babies, schmoozing with the chosen, filling your heads with speeches written to placate you, to lull you, to assure you they are doing all they can to fight for your rights - remember - they are all scoundrels.  They are tainted.  Unless their records actually show it, don't believe them.  Just take the free burger, the drink and the charred hot dog.  They are not your friends.  If they were your friends, there wouldn't be Viper Squads in the streets courtesy of DHS; no TSA groping your grandmothers in wheelchairs with ostomy bags on, or children being terrorized - the potential carrier of contraband or an illegal weapon.  There wouldn't be drones, or warrantless searches during traffic stops, militarized, federalized law enforcement, citizen surveillance cameras or the threat of you being disappeared or Breitbarted.  There wouldn't be Obamacare.  There wouldn't be socialist/Marxist teachers instructing your kids and trying to brainwash them into being good little simpletons for the state.  Your freedoms would be guaranteed by these swine instead of compromised.

AND THERE WOULDN'T BE OBAMA, THE TYRANT DICTATOR IN THE WHITE HOUSE WHO WILL END YOUR LIFE IN POVERTY AS HE CRIPPLES AND CRASHES OUR ECONOMY.  WAIT UNTIL YOU GET HIT WITH CAP AND TRADE.  Start getting smart about it.

Remember our Constitution, how it was given to us, and what it gave us - the near perfect land called America.  It's all we have, and it's barely surviving.  Is your elected official placing him- or herself between it and the Obama regime?  Would that elected official give his or her life to defend it and the concepts of God-given rights, freedom and liberty?  Would he or she give their personal fortunes to guarantee your rights?  You ask them and then tell me.

A very nice little diversion.  People may think you are doing "something".  Something "neutral".  NPR and PBS run some very good educational programs. 

Well, guys, how about defunding the TSA and the DHS, bearing in mind that there is a small matter of the purchase of heavily armored vehicles and bullet proof glass kiosks to be used on the roads for traffic stops and the horrific purchase of 450 million .40 cal. hollow points that are at the ready in case we misbehave in some way, or perhaps just on a whim from the president - the fraud-in-chief deciding on martial law.  And when you think of all those pretty little brass bullets - remember, that caliber - that particular bullet, is prohibited by the Geneva Convention for use outside the USA.  It is close combat pistol ammo. For what reason other than to use it "on us"?

I kept thinking of the barrage of blows our constitutional rights are taking every day. This was my last straw of last night. The notion that we are to spy on each other, and be scrutinized for buying wooden matches and MREs? Obama and his handmaiden, Big Sis are pretty much responsible, and anyone with a uniform is going to join the chorus line.

Perhaps it will inspire you, too. Apparently our boys and girls in Congress do not believe us. They need to believe us. They need us to take them down a peg or two.

So call or write them a letter. Call all of their offices, read this, tweak it and make it your own. Or send it on or read it and say you agree. Ron Paul believes we are close to a revolution. The revolution will not come if Obama is impeached. But Obama will manufacture an incident or he will put his big foot on our necks and cause such terror and chaos in this peaceful country of ours, that we will not know what happened.

I would like an explanation of why this is happening, and why my representatives - in all states - are allowing this garbage.

That usurper to the office of president is indeed, impeachable. Ask us. Have Steve ask us when he has his next town hall meetings. That one question.

There is support. Problem is, we send our best hope to Washington to represent us and they turn it around a day later and they think they're wagging the dog.

I am extremely displeased with the way our Republicans are allowing our country to slip into totalitarianism. That's impeachable. And I am asking that Steve bring this up on the House floor - the matter of impeachment. I want him to DARE SAY THE WORDS, "IT'S TIME TO IMPEACH THE PRESIDENT, BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA".

If Steve cannot, then I would like to do it as a citizen of the United States, as his guest, in Washington, to the House of Representatives. I will bring the laundry list of offenses against these United States if he doesn't have one. And I mean that sincerely.

I mean this; that I will go with my arm wrapped around a 10 pound scroll of Obama's offenses against the state with the intent to convince our do-nothing Congress to impeach this fraud.
