Freshwater and anadromous fish in peril -

http://www.ens-newswire.com/ens/sep2008/2008-09-09-02.asp

This link was sent via one of my odonata lists (dragonflies and damsels). The imperiled fish live where odes do - they live side by side - and the insects do not seem to be endangered.

There is an interactive link with a map to your area. If you do any fishing, or are interested in salt or fresh water ecology, take a look. I caught an alligator gar once and I won't forget it. What a fight it gave on light tackle. Lots of teeth in those babies, and it was returned unharmed up on Econfina near where the alligator scared me.

This report comes out of Gainesville, FL but is relevant to the US, Mexico and Canada.
