Greyhounds - Ever think of adopting one?

Greyhound racing is still legal in Florida. Our local track is Ebro. You probably know that they are killed if they can't be raced - huge numbers are killed and very few adopted considering the number of them bred for the track.

They are beautiful, elegant, clean dogs that are real couch potatoes. They are especially good with children.

But did you ever conceive of the atrocities suffered by these dogs before they are rescued?

Fortunately, Friends of Greyhounds do an outstanding job here with an adoption effort held every Saturday at our local Books-A-Million in Panama City, FL.
