WHO'S GOT A BIG HEART AND ROOM FOR 3 ELDERLY BOSTONS TO FOSTER UNTIL WE GET THEM TO RESCUE?

OR, if you're a small dog rescue do you have room for these three old sweeties whose dog parent is in the hospital and they were given to Bay County Animal Control.  The BCAC is desperate for a foster home until we get them into a rescue group.  They are confused and unhappy and don't know why they're there.

It is crowded and noisy - a large facility.

It would be cruel to break them up at their advanced age.  It is also cruel to think that just that because they are old, and one is compromised, that no one will take them home to love, unless we get them into a rescue organization.  Can you help?

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this on behalf of the small, brindle, shelter dog you fell in love with 4 weeks ago. You and your family took him to the shelter lobby and got to know him so well, you declared you wanted to take him home right then and there.

Unfortunately, he was a stray, who had only been picked up by Animal Control 2 days earlier. He was on what is known at the shelter, as “stray hold.” That means he had to stay at the shelter a certain amount of days. These days were allotted in an effort to give his owner time to come and claim him.

You and your children spent a good long time, playing with, and petting, him. You said he was the perfect dog for you, and you fell in love with him, and he fell in love with you. You vowed that you would return in 5 days, when the “stray hold” ended, and you would adopt him.

But when the time was up, and the dog was available, you did not return. It has been over 4 weeks and he still waits for you. He has survived this long because the shelter volunteers still hope you will return, or, if not you, maybe someone else will want him.

His time is running short though. He occupies a kennel that is needed for another dog, another stray. The small, brindle dog needs to move on. Maybe the next occupant of kennel AD-3 will be luckier.

And though the dog’s life will be cut short, he will remember that one happy hour he spent with you and your family, in the shelter lobby. 

I guess I can thank you for that.

LET'S DO SOMETHING NICE FOR AN AGING BLOODHOUND GIRL

And find her a home with a family who won't leave her alone during the day. She is getting bored out in the yard. She is 10 years old, spayed, on heartworm prevention and flea meds.

Her current family has had her for four years.

Perhaps it's a case of "just no time".

But I know you loved my Granny Annie, and this old girl needs a home, too.

She is a purebred bloodhound, and my friend, Sarah of Friends of Bay County Animal Rescue, says she's an awesome dog.

Doesn't someone want a beautiful bloodhound? They are wonderful companions. I've had four in my life - two were rescues. They are considered a giant breed and have a limited lifespan.

Please consider adopting Ginger, or helping foster her.

Rep. Allen Boyd's last nose thumbing at his constituents

As discovered from calls to his office and the Panama City News Herald, yesterday's edition, Rep. Allen Boyd (D-FL) has decided to call off the Obamacare moderated panel discussion at Gulf Coast Community College, Panama City, FL despite 500 ticket recipients who had to pick them up at the college. They were sold out in two hours.

He disdains Bay County so much, that he decided against a town hall meeting and hold this instead, so there would be control of questions and answers.

A few days before, the Bay Patriots (www.baypatriots.org), issued a Citizen Summons for a free interchange of questions and answers in a more traditional format to be held at the college in the courtyard of Amelia Center in the theater arts building. With Burnie Thompson, local talk show host, advertising this town hall, adjacent counties, Sallie May employees, local interested citizens who are averse to Obamacare and other issues, this family and Constitution-oriented event will be held with or without Boyd. Boyd will be in Bay County today, but apparently is too disinterested in his constituents to bother.

This should send a flag up to all counties and constituents in his Congressional district because at any time, he could turn on you.

For all interested parties who want to exercise our Constitutional right to redress government,
bring the family to see our rights to this ideal in action. Someone has donated hot dogs and hamburgers. The event will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. tonight. Bring lawn chairs and an umbrella.

If he doesn't show, there will be gigantic pieces of paper with your questions, to be mailed to Boyd.

He isn't performing to his oath. He needs to be fired.

Thought I was kidding about US troops patrolling us?

Burnie Thompson, local Panama City, FL talk show host, ate crow today. He didn't believe a comment I had made months before. Another brought the same issue up, and this time, the article appeared in "Army Times". This confirms my fears that hardened combat men and women are coming home to patrol US! These are people with many tours under their belts; under wartime condition. They will be hired and let loose on our streets. Should we be fearful?

I think so.

But remember, we can police ourselves. And if times get brutal and bloody, we cannot expect help from such as these. They bring with them all the images and flashbacks and damaged minds and souls of war. These were the ones trained in patrol and "peacekeeping".

Instead of being let loose on the streets surveilling and engaging us, they should be sent to hospitals so they can mend their mental injuries.

Thompson said on the air he thought the prior comments were conspiratorial, but not now. It's got him concerned. Wait until he reads about the US concentration camps that are staffed now, and the coffin makers with their stockpiles in Georgia and other places. Don't believe what I tell you here. Look it up yourself. Youtube (owned by Google), is beginning to censor some of these videos. You can find them other places.
