Hello Everyone,
We have a very sweet Bloodhound by the name of Happy here who was turned over to the shelter by her owners because she kept running off. Her owners would let her out but not stay with her and she lived just off rt. 404. Happy is 6 ½ years old and weighs about 140 pounds and need to go on a diet! She is very sweet and did great when she met dogs and cats. She is very slightly hw positive but we consulted the vet and they are saying to just go ahead and treat her with a hw pill every month. When the one officer was evaluating her for food issues he had a problem with her, she growled a bit but when the other officer went in to assist, they didn't have any issues at all with her. Happy is a very sweet girl who we're trying to get out of this shelter! Please someone help her out and us by pulling her! Thank you so much!

TSA SNIFFERS - HOW MANY MILLIONS OF DOLLARS? AND NOW THEY AREN'T USED?

Oh, BIG SIS, what a spendthrift you turned out to be!
Here's my suggestion. Bloodhounds. Big, beautiful, droolly, sharp-nosed, non-lethal, non-cancer causing Bloodhounds. Kept as pets by their handlers, they will do anything for a pat on the head,
a kiss from a stranger, even. Fondle their silken ears.
They will find anything you train them for. You can get rid of the x-rays, get rid of the sex perverts, just send the queue of people between two lines of gorgeous BLOODHOUNDS - passenger friendly, kid friendly, and we will shut up.

LET'S DO SOMETHING NICE FOR AN AGING BLOODHOUND GIRL

And find her a home with a family who won't leave her alone during the day. She is getting bored out in the yard. She is 10 years old, spayed, on heartworm prevention and flea meds.
Her current family has had her for four years.
Perhaps it's a case of "just no time".
But I know you loved my Granny Annie, and this old girl needs a home, too.
She is a purebred bloodhound, and my friend, Sarah of Friends of Bay County Animal Rescue, says she's an awesome dog.
Doesn't someone want a beautiful bloodhound? They are wonderful companions. I've had four in my life - two were rescues. They are considered a giant breed and have a limited lifespan.
Please consider adopting Ginger, or helping foster her.
She is in Panama City, FL.

BLOODHOUND IN NEED. WHO WANTS ONE?

T-Bone is a handsome red Bloodhound with white trim on his chest. He is a very big dog, and rather overweight. Actually, he's quite a chubby fellow. He has been in and out of the Bay County Animal Control facility a couple of times. The reason is that he is a wanderer. He is also an escape artist. He visits neighbors. He's bored.
What T-Bone needs is a constant companion who can handle his size and allow him house privileges. He is already neutered. I'm sure he would LOVE to ride in the car with you, ears flapping in the wind.
I used to own, breed and show Bloodhounds once. And if I had the room, he'd be here on the sofa, watching tv right now.
But I don't.
I fear T-Bone may be euthanized. Is there someone reading this blog who would care to adopt him? He is already neutered and so his adoption fee is reduced to approximately $40.
This is a high kill/rescue friendly facility. The Friends of BCAC can help with transportation.
There was some talk of T-Bone's having some tracking or cadaver experience in the past, but that remains sketchy, and his owner didn't give us information that was verifiable. But oh, that nose.
Please call the Bay County Animal Control at (850)767-3333 and leave a message.
