OR, if you're a small dog rescue do you have room for these three old sweeties whose dog parent is in the hospital and they were given to Bay County Animal Control. The BCAC is desperate for a foster home until we get them into a rescue group. They are confused and unhappy and don't know why they're there.
It is crowded and noisy - a large facility.
It would be cruel to break them up at their advanced age. It is also cruel to think that just that because they are old, and one is compromised, that no one will take them home to love, unless we get them into a rescue organization. Can you help?

Black dogs and cats, old ones, the plain janes, the ones with special needs - like blindness, tripods, chronic disease, maybe a recent injury that needs healing and care with a special person like you...they are at your shelters and animal controls and they are waiting for you.
They are waiting for you because they need you and in return they will give you unconditional love for their lifetime. Why are you waiting?
My Granny Annie is looking down from the Rainbow Bridge telling me we needed each other.
She was right. She was an ugly, old, three-legged lady,partially deaf, partially blind Boston with a heart of gold. She gave me her unflagging good humor and undying love for a year and a half.
It was the right decision. She was joy.

This is enough to break your heart.
The idea pet and animal sanctuaries are on hard economic times is enough to break your heart.
These two are very elderly, as you will see. So please, if you can, take care of them until you send them to the Rainbow Bridge. It won't be long.
If you read about my Granny Annie, who is an ancient, overweight, three-legged Boston Terrier whom I rescued from the local animal control, you know how I love her. These two will do the same for you and you will be so grateful that you gave them a good life until the end. It does something to the inside of you. Their comfort and pleasure is returned to you a hundredfold.

HUNGRY HOWIE - A MODERN DAY MIRACLE FOR DOG LOVERS EVERYWHERE
BUT THAT WAS THEN - AND THANK GOD FOR HIS GUARDIAN ANGELS, JIM AND DEBBIE THOMAS WHO FOUND HIM AND TOOK HIM TO THIS SHELTER. THEY WERE VACATIONING, AND I KNOW JIM FROM JPG MAGAZINE. THEY VOLUNTEER AT A LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTER IN MARYLAND.

You will not believe your eyes. Howie is now "Handsome Howie". A little weight is needed, but he's glossy, healthy and he will be getting his heartworm treatment shortly. Then he will be ready for adoption.

Hungry Howie’s life was changed the day two very special humans were out enjoying a sunny Florida day and happened upon him- literally starving TO DEATH! Howie was emaciated, weak, starving, and barely clinging to life. Without the intervention of these two very special people Howie’s life would have ended that day- in great agony and pain!
Although shelter resources were stretched and space was limited, Howie’s fight for
survival motivated staff and volunteers to do all possible to help Howie hang on!
IN HOWIE’S CASE, WE KNEW IT WAS ONLY RIGHT TO GIVE HIM A CHANCE TO
LIVE THE REST OF HIS LIFE. “HE IS BEAUTIFUL AND LOVING AND
