THE COMMUNIST TAKEOVER OF AMERICA - 45 DECLARED GOALS - IS THIS REALLY WHAT WE WANT? DO OUR LIB FRIENDS FULLY UNDERSTAND THEY ARE NOT GOING TO ESCAPE? REMEMBER, LIBERALISM IS A MENTAL DISORDER!

http://clashdaily.com/2013/01/the-communist-takeover-of-america-45-declared-goals/

On February 23, there will be a day of National Resistance across the nation.  What does that mean?  Speeches in the park?  Flags?  Horns honking support?  People lining the streets with signs waving?

Why can't it be armed citizens, exercising their rights to keep and bear arms.  In some states, there is no requirement for gun permits, which is as it should be, according to the Bill of Rights" and the Second Amendment.  Exercise your God-given rights on that day, and show the regime your intentions to stand your ground against all enemies, foreign and domestic as we are required to do.

If we just honk horns and wave signs, we are participating in an activity that Cubans rely on when the electricity goes out - banging them at midnight in protest.

But just to let you know, there will be some kind of rally to protest the usurper of our rights who has created a communist regime in Washington, the font of all things unAmerican; the pit of sewage into which he has thrown us.

I will keep you up-to-date on our progress here.  I hope that everyone who is worried about our future as a country, every gun owner, every man, woman and child, law enforcement, veterans, every LEGAL immigrant who enjoys what little we have left of our freedoms, and who understand how important participating in this protest for the message that if they send the helicopters and the Vipr teams, and "multijurisdictional" agencies for drills to get us desensitized to flying bullets and flash bang grenades in the dark of night, while military vehicles bristle with 50 caliber guns patrol, endangering our lives as we drive, or crouch in our dwellings hoping that the helicopters won't crash, our students terrified and told to cower and hide, WE WILL RESIST BECAUSE WE WILL NOT BE SLAVES TO THE STATE AND WE WILL FIGHT FOR OUR CHILDREN'S RIGHTS AS FREE, SOVEREIGN CITIZENS IN THE COUNTRY IT WAS DESIGNED TO BE.

10 REASONS HOMELESS PEOPLE SLEEP OUT IN THE COLD AND DIE

http://www.care2.com/causes/10-reasons-homeless-people-sleep-out-in-the-cold-and-die.html

A month spent in their shoes in winter would get your mind straight.

In Bay County, the Panama City Rescue Mission is a private, faith-based mission, doing it's best.  It is situated in our downtown, near the law offices, the courthouse, across from the water, bordering the black section of Panama City.

I can tell you that I prefer to shop downtown for my groceries, and during the year or so I worked for an attorney close by, always spending my lunch hour shopping nearby, I have never been asked for a hand out (except once), or been treated badly or intimidated for any reason.  I've always felt safe.

Recently there has been a blitz of pressure on the mission to move the people out of downtown (so the valuable property on the water can be sold at a higher price), to the boondocks up on 231 by the city of Panama City.   Mayor Brudnicki just cannot have the homeless on his streets.

Complicated and unnecessary plans to move them to a compound near two public schools (actually four if you really want to take a walk, near a liquor store, a convenience store and a Hungry Howie's and the prison), with all manner of public services and counseling) were recently quashed by our sheriff.  That's good.

The Greyhound bus terminal is downtown, if they want to leave.

But think of the homeless and why they are in fact, homeless.  They are mentally ill, the one-paycheck-to-disaster people (employable but homeless), those who are rolling stones by nature, disabled veterans from a variety of "wars", addicts and alcoholics, and I met one couple with a baby and one in the oven at the ER one day, who came from the cold midwest to enjoy the more clement weather and to suck off the teat of the state.  Mom was neat, clean, the baby in the carrier spotless (with a sniffle), and Dad was unemployed and happy.  Maybe this is the problem.  Like it or not - this family were able to find lodging, and not at the mission, crowding out one or two who needed it most.

Curiously, I have never seen anyone making a drug deal downtown; I've seen a couple of hookers but they seemed to be familiar and perhaps residents.  Public drunkenness doesn't seem to be an issue.  Not that I've seen.

The mission wants to expand downtown. I like that.  There is need. Brudnicki and the city fathers need to allow Pastor Billy to follow his divine guidance and sell and relocate or not.

I don't know...Pastor Billy seems to have the situation well in hand except that the mission needs to expand.
But don't treat these people like criminals.  They are citizens!  Most of them, anyway.  They have rights like "we" do.

And there, but for the grace of God, go I.  (And you.)

If you want more information on the current status of the Panama City Rescue Mission, please check the Panama City News Herald.

HERE'S WHO VOTED TO DESTROY THE FOURTH AMENDMENT YESTERDAY, AND GUESS WHAT - AMONG THEM WERE FLORIDA REPRESENTATIVES MILLER, SOUTHERLAND AND WEST

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/112-2012/h569

None of the Yea voters have any regard for anyone, including those who stupidly went with the flow and believed in them enough to vote for them.  They are all petty wannabe tyrants.

I made the mistake of voting for Southerland twice because I didn't listen to my heart and listened instead to the cacophony of white noise around me.  I won't make that mistake again.

So I am proposing to Bay County and Panama City, to form a group to meet in a neutral place to prepare presentations on our grievances and to demand to be heard as a group when our elected officials are in town, in our district.  No more nice guys and gals.  We have to hold them accountable for their actions.

Please leave a message for me in response to this.  AS SOON AS I GET YOUR INFO, I WILL DELETE THE MESSAGE.  I am very much on fire from KrisAnne Hall's (www.krisannehall.comwww.maylattanzio.blogspot.com) time spent on WYOO-FM (101.1) and her substitute duty for the past two weeks for Derrell Day and Burnie Thompson.  She did a fantastic, fierce job and she's someone, ladies, to emulate.

I for one, will be leaving the Republican Party. It serves no purpose.  It has destroyed itself.  I would never be a Democrat - ever.  I am probably going to become an Independent, though my heart is now thoroughly Libertarian.

But no matter who we throw at the wall who sticks, they must know who is pulling their strings.  AND THAT'S US!

On my agenda is to form a really vibrant Libertarian Party in Bay County, specifically in Panama City.
If you are considering changing parties, I will direct you to Pete Blome of the Ft. Walton Beach Libertarians.
It's time we make this party viable and energetic.  We need people eligible to vote in the next election, young singles, families, and those with gray hair who aren't afraid to organize, to vent, to pass out literature,  to register voters, converse on talk shows and expose the wrongs of the Republicrats, and promote the Libertarian Party.  You with me?  All you need is to be pro-Constitution, and be a lover of freedom and liberty.  Think about this...do your school children know what freedom and liberty are?  Have they ever felt it when they are besieged with rules like helmets and kneepads to ride their bicycles?  I hate that!  So what if they fall.  They'll get up with bloody knees and remember what they did wrong...like in life.  Like with bullies.
My son was in grade school and terrified of a wiry little monster who made his paper route and class time horrific.  Until my son slugged him.  The parents met and they never had a problem again.  That's how it is with bullies.  That's how it is with elected officials too.  We're going to give you a "black eye" when you least expect it (at election time) if you don't respect our power.

Let's do it.  We aren't effective alone as parties of one.  But if we got 20 people in a room each with a problem to be solved and a demand for accountability from an elected official, we would come away very proud.

THE MAYORS AGAINST ILLEGAL GUNS (A COALITION OF APPROX. 750 MEMBERS) SENT THIS TO OBAMA ON DECEMBER 19, 2012

The member names who agree were printed beneath.  I believe this was authored by NYC's Mayor Bloomberg.  One of the members is Panama City Mayor Greg Brudnicki, who admitted he was a member, but denies signing it.
He spoke about this on the Burnie Thompson Show earlier.  But his "signature" is included.
So who do we believe.  He was very calm and dismissed this.  Had it been me, I would have been explosively angry and calling the best attorney I could find!
This letter is absolute trash to the people who believe in the Constitution and the Second Amendment.  It draws the line between totalitarian, leftist government and Constitutional government.
The citizens of Bay County, FL and Panama City, FL need to know where he stands and get proof through FOIA requests that indeed he did sign or give permission, or not.
You decide.
Touted as pro-Second Amendment, why then is Brudnicki a member of this organization?
http://www.mikebloomberg.com/index.cfm?objectid=BF28B050-C29C-7CA2-F414FC3F9EC99945

Did you ever see such unconstitutional, anti-Second Amendment garbage in your life?  NYC would be well served if they got rid of this little left wing tyrant.

WILL YOUR STATE BE USING SCYTL (IN SPAIN) TO COUNT YOUR PRECIOUS VOTES?

http://congressmantomtancredo.com/category/voter-fraud/

Apparently Florida is one of Scytl's "success" stories - if you go to the home page, you will see icon blocks and they blink off and change. Watch the success story block - Florida comes up.

In addition, Mark Andersen, Supervisor of Elections in Bay County, FL, is a non-believer in Scytl, and so are the guys with the conservative/libertarian talk shows at Magic Radio's WYOO in Panama City, FL. They talk a good talk, but when it's so huge, they dismiss information as "dubious" and not to be believed. The information goes right down the drain, no matter how many links you give them. One of them cites unreliable conspiracy theory sites.

Not so. Congressman Tancredo is a pretty reliable source, I'd say; so is the Western Journalism Center, and most of the thousands of links (if you do a Google search) on Scytl.
Several states in the United States have contracted with Scytl - not all of them. If you live in one of those states, give me a holler and tell me if you have confidence that these world bankers(as in globalists) in Spain have rights to where you want your precious vote to be counted.

But hey guys, tough as it may be to swallow, you should NEVER kill the messenger.

We all know, unless you live under a rock or in a cave without the interruption of any media/computer service, that the USA is in her last hours, whether you admit it or not. Not her last days, her last hours.

This election will be the most important in our lifetimes, and that of our children's, that is, if we have an election.

We sent people to Washington, DC who are gutless, spineless, eunuchs - individuals who are either living in fear of retaliation or right in there with the most corrupt.

We don't need them to condone the tilt, the co-option of our precious votes by using vote counting firms like Scytl. We have a dictatorial regime firmly planted in the White House. America can no longer exist a free nation if he gets four more years.

And Mr. Romney - where the hell are you? Why aren't you speaking about this?

I am sticking to my guns. With a stroke of a pen, Ron Paul will rid us of the most dangerous, egregious "armies" on the planet - our own DHS, the IRS and the Federal Reserve will be the start, as he promised.

Why would you argue with that?

Ron Paul for President!

UPDATE: A few seconds ago I requested a copy of the contract between the State of Florida and SCYTL under FS119, the Florida Sunshine Law. In a call to the Attorney General's office, an employee in the Elections div. hung up on me when discussing this. Also, in a conversation with another employee, she took my FS119 request and promised to pass it on (under the provisions of this statute). If you live in one of the 13+ states that has contracted with SCYTL (there are others - find out who is doing it if any, in your state), attempt to get a copy.

(Hey, Bay County - Am I going to have to run for a Commission seat? Don't make me do it.
I might win! Yee haw! A pro-gun, Second Amendment grumpy grandma, who sees the TSA, restrictive code enforcement, the EPA, DHS, and the ugly Americans...not property owners. Peel back those unfair county laws that make no sense (like non-binding referendums) , don't promote liberty and freedom, and boondoggle resistant (like the painting of a non-functioning water tower that cost the county of Bay $908,104! How many scholarships to deserving students would that make? I may even work to get a public shooting range - because when the government has more toys that go bang than we do, everyone - even our kids - should know firearm safety and be trained at an early age. Yeah, and instead of popping into the County Commission offices once a week, set up a real office and bring one of the dogs on a daily basis.

CHARLES GOYETTE: SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES - THE MOST IMPORTANT NET ARTICLE YOU WILL READ TODAY - SHARE IT WIDELY.

Thanks to Phil Lucas, editor/publisher of "The Bullet", a weekly newspaper from Bay County, FL, we get this article which crystallizes what is happening to us. Share it with your liberal friends. It's "that" important.

I've given you a link and I gave you the text - you don't even have to hunt for it.

Be aware, prepare, because "Something Wicked This Way Comes"!

Something Wicked This Way Comes

Charles Goyette
April 12th, 2012

Perhaps it’s like shouting an alarm, unheard above the engine noise of two trains on a collision course. Or, screaming helplessly as a car slips its brakes and rolls toward a toddler playing at the bottom of the driveway.

It is gruesome imagery and I apologize for invoking it. But if anything, it may be inadequate to the prospect before us.

One only has to ask, “What is heading our way?”

Headline:

The Department Of Homeland Security Is Buying 450 Million New Bullets

And don’t kid yourself; they’re not for target practice. It’s .40 caliber ammunition, hollow point rounds that promise “optimum penetration for terminal performance.” The department also has a bid out for up to 175 million rounds of .223 caliber ammunition.

This isn’t the flipping army, you know. This is an internal national police force, a department that didn’t even exist 10 years ago.

Headline:

Supreme Court OKs Strip Searches for Minor Offenses

It’s okay with the Supreme Court if you are detained and subjected to a demeaning strip-search for such serious offenses against the State as violating a leash law or having a headlight out.

Really, is being strip-searched and perhaps even forced to take a delousing shower for riding your bicycle without an audible bell reasonable? Of course not. So much for the 4th Amendment.

Headline:

Police Are Using Phone Tracking as a Routine Tool

Even in the absence of judicial authorization, cell phone tracking has become widespread. An ACLU report covering more than 200 police departments finds that nearly all engage in the practice, but only a few bother with a warrant.

Would you be shocked to discover that some police departments are trying to keep their activities secret because of the legal implications? Officers have even been warned to keep their cell phone tracking out of police reports. Now what was that oath about upholding the law?

Headline:

The NSA Is Building the Country’s Biggest Spy Center (Watch What You Say)

The crown jewel of Federal spying is a new $2 billion, high tech center in Utah, a million square feet devoted to data gathering and storage. “NSA has turned its surveillance apparatus on the U.S. and its citizens,” reports an account of the program.

The facility will help manage information from 10 to 20 domestic telecom “listening posts.” “We are, like, that far from a turnkey totalitarian state,” says William Binney, a former senior NSA crypto-mathematician.

What Is heading Our Way?

These are only a few recent headlines. But the police state is growing much faster than even these stories suggest. There is the developing proliferation of domestic spy drones; a variety of so-called cyber-security bills – internet kill switches – are working their way through Congress; and, of course, there are executive power grabs like the presidential power to target American citizens for assassination found in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Some Germans, although not all, were willing to ask what wicked thing was headed their way in the 1930s. Sebastian Haffner was a young law student and aspiring court clerk at the time. After his death at the age of 91 in 1999, his son found Haffner’s account of the era stuffed away in a drawer.

Haffner’s manuscript, which he had left unfinished in 1939, was published as Defying Hitler,” and became an immediate bestseller. The book is graced by fine writing, shown in a New York Times review citing Haffner’s description of Hitler: ”… personal appearance was thoroughly repellent – the pimp’s forelock, the hoodlum’s elegance . . . the interminable speechifying, the epileptic behavior with its wild gesticulations and foaming at the mouth.”

But it is the candid search for self-knowledge, his honest inquiry of “what became of the Germans,” that makes the work a place to begin answering how “it” could have happened. Haffner writes that nobody saw what was to come with any clarity in the early days of the fascist transformation of the land in 1933, but that he “had a sense of what was in the air. I felt distinctly that what had happened so far was merely disgusting and no more. But what was in the offing had something apocalyptic about it.”

Haffner suggests that Germans saw in Hitler a “do-over,” a chance to transform the defeat of World War I into victory. The martial mood he invoked, like that of the war, “provided far more excitement and emotional satisfaction than anything peace could offer.”

A 9/11 Do-Over?

Is it possible that Americans are squandering their birthright of liberty in nostalgia for post-World War II triumphalism, a golden age myth of good wars and greatest generations? It is a myth that exaggerates our might and insists on our universal benevolence.

But it is a myth that was shattered on 9/11, when we discovered ourselves to be both vulnerable and unloved.

Like the Germans, determined to prove that history got it wrong with the Allies’ victory in November 1918, is ours an attempt to cling to an illusion about America that made us hold absurd beliefs about democratizing the Mideast and being “welcomed as liberators”?

Are Americans spending themselves into warfare-state ruin now to reenact the myth (for it is a myth) of the universally admired and invulnerable hero?

Like a middle-aged man squandering his savings on face lifts and hair plugs, on expensive sports cars, and absurdly inappropriate clothing, night clubbing with girls half his age, trying to relive a youth that was never anything like his imagination, are Americans trying to recapture a period that was nothing at all like the myth of their belief?

Is it the lingering myth of invulnerability, an unspoken promise for the storied omnipotence of skies darkened with aircraft and seas blackened with ships that has Americans spending almost as much as the rest of the world combined on warfare, and digging themselves deeper into ruin?

But we never were what the myth says we were. It is only our failure to confront who we really are and what we have been party to that makes us subject to the compulsion of myth, so that we act in unconscious and destructive ways.

We were never invulnerable before September 11, 2001.

Just ask public school children who were drilled to “duck and cover” under their desks when the sirens went off during the Cold War.

And we were never the global “Good American.”

At least, the 20 million – 30 million human beings whose deaths the U.S. is responsible for since World War II would not have seen us that way. To them, we would more readily have been recognized as mighty brutes. But since we know nothing of their perception of our brutishness, and since we don’t hold ourselves morally accountable for any of the slaughter, we have combined ignorance with our brutality.

In this unawakened state, Americans stand by silently as the national security state becomes more powerful by the day. Just as only the complete totalist state could allow Hitler to assert what was to be Germany’s ultimate victory, only the unchecked might of such a state seems equal to the task of forcing reality to match the myth under which Americans labor.

The headlines tell the story … “Something wicked this way comes.”

The line is from Macbeth. It is, of course, a tragedy about power and death.

TERROR DRILLS TERRORIZING SCHOOL CHILDREN ALL ACROSS AMERICA - AND WHAT'S HAPPENING IN PANAMA CITY, FL?

http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/id.11689/pub_detail.asp

An email from DHS was sent to our Sheriff Frank McKeithen announcing, not asking permission, for DHS VIPER teams to drill at our Greyhound station and our trolley system, which is public transportation on a very small scale, both of them in Panama City, FL.

This morning, Derrell Day read the response of our Sheriff which said mildly and politely, that we do not need such drills, and that our law enforcement agencies are able to handle anything that comes (or has come) up.

Now I don't know if the the DHS VIPERS will ignore his request to stop wasting such unnecessary expense and resources...our trolley serves the elderly, the disabled, the poor. The Greyhound station is very small, and who uses it? The elderly, the disabled, the poor, mostly.

The DHS has shown its face as a predator. Remember the Social Security office raid last year I think downstate Florida?

Because the Sheriff can refuse DHS to come into our county, I hope all of you here and in surrounding counties will support him in his effort to keep them out. Maybe he should deputize all of us so we can back him up.

We don't need no stinkin' badges...and we don't need the DHS in our county!

Stay strong, Frank!

STOP THE SALE OF BAY MEDICAL CENTER TO SACRED HEART NETWORK! YOUR LIFE WILL DEPEND ON IT!

If you have Muslim doctors, and I know several of you do, you need to tell them that they'd better find out before March is over, if they will be kept at BMC.

In a phone call today, there is a self-admitted problem with the staff of BMC by Sacred Heart.

Dr. Victor Ortega at Pulmonary Assoc. in PC is very much against the sale/lease. We were at a meeting last night. This is a corporate takeover by the Catholic church. Promises made were not in the contract, so staff doesn't know if they will be rehired by Sacred Heart. They have to apply to Sacred Heart and wait. He said last night that he believes the staff will be purged.

Did you know that the staff was promised retroactive raises with the $3.5 million BP settlement and no one knows where the money went?

Public records under the Sunshine Law have been requested by and have been refused.

No audits on anything have been done - not the physical plant audit or a financial audit. No one knows WHY or WHO was responsible for the disappearance or mishandling of BMC finances...poor management, embezzlement, favors, fraud...nothing is known.

There was legislation presented by Sen. Rene Garcia down south regarding the sale of hospitals. In it was the requirement for a referendum. Then our Sen. Gaetz got it and scrubbed that. It is on Rick Scott's desk for signature today. It coincides with the sale of the hospital to Sacred Heart. Timed just right so that the "voters" are the Board of BMC and the County Commission and of course, not the public.

Public records law violation is a big deal.

Please contact the Governor's office somehow today and tell him to stop the sale of the hospital to Sacred Heart on the public records violations at least. Or you can send a brief email to Attorney General Pam Bondi (http://www.myfloridalegal.com) to tell her about the public records violations. There is a quick link under her picture on the right where it says to contact her, and then a link to file a complaint.

That alone can put a hold on this.

http://qa.flgov.com/contact-gov-scott/

I think because of the closed door negotiations, missing money, and so many other shady issues, that this requires a Grand Jury.

There are ways to get BMC back on track. We can save our public, non-profit hospital which was to be ours in perpetuity.

ATTENTION: BAY COUNTY, FL AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES - MTG TONIGHT ON THE BMC TAKEOVER

There are still many unanswered questions, and some fact finding to be done BEFORE the sale/lease is completed.

We don't have much time.

All are invited to this meeting at the Holiday Inn Select in Panama City, 77 (Martin Luther King Blvd.) and Highway 231.

Room for 150.

Please come!

CARDINAL GEORGE: CATHOLIC HOSPITALS WILL BE GONE IN TWO LENTS, UNDER OBAMACARE REGULATIONS

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/cardinal-george-catholic-hospitals-will-be-gone-two-lents-under-obamacare-regulation

What an extraordinary coincidence. The Sacred Heart System has taken over a public, non-profit hospital here in Panama City, FL and will finalize the negotiations. The contract was negotiated primarily in the dark, with provisions for 40 years and two extensions. It was not necessary to sell/lease this hospital, since there was help available because it was originally built under the Hill-Burton Act.

There were two public hearings, which was attended mostly by BMC employees. I spoke of just this thing, using Allen Keyes' newsletter which warned of the consequences and religious hospitals under Obamacare.

Of course, I was ignored. it was a done deal already.

So now this pops up today.

All of you in Bay and surrounding counties - take heed. This hospital will supply indigent care at a lower level than BMC has in the past. In three years it can be flipped for profit.
Sacred Heart knew what it was doing, no doubt.

Maybe the fat lady hasn't sung her last song.

TODAY BAY MEDICAL CENTER, PANAMA CITY, FL, WAS STOLEN BY SACRED HEART HOSPITAL NETWORK

Bay Medical Center was organized under the Hill-Burton Act. http://www.nvcc.edu/home/bhays/dogwood/hillburtonact.htm
and here: http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html/hill-burton_act_free_healthcar.html

You can organize a Hill-Burton Hospital this way:
http://www.hrsa.gov/gethealthcare/affordable/hillburton/

If that's not enough, Google has endless entries that will allow you to understand the word "perpetuity" used in the organization of a Hill-Burton hospital.

Eventually, Hill-Burton evolved into the Public Services Act XVI http://www.hrsa.gov/gethealthcare/affordable/hillburton/compliance.html

There was help for BMC all along. All it would have taken was for the lazy (or corrupt) BMC board to look this up. Ditto for the BOCC lazy (or corrupt) members to read it and act, too. But when I sent it to them; when I spoke to them in public, they did not or would not listen to me. It is my opinion that the transfer of BMC to Sacred Heart was a done deal when Steve Johnson was hired out of Sacred Heart. It would take ten years of focused degradation. Employees of BMC, you should have voted for a union. But I'm betting just like the attempt to unionize more than once, your jobs were threatened if you didn't wear a smile and a big, blue button. You will see jobs evaporate, indigent care diminish and disappear, and the hospital, our jewel created from our own hands without outside interference, be flipped for Sacred Heart's profit.

There would have been NO financial distress. There are provisions for aid for hospitals like BMC. All it took was an application for financial help under the guidelines of the Public Services Act XVI.

In your haste to fast track this the Board and the BOCC forgot to factor in the coming of Obamacare or that if HHS does not relent on the issue of contraception costs, that religious hospitals, specifically the Sacred Heart system because it is Roman Catholic-run, and adheres strictly to the rules of the Catholic church, may go under.

The behind-the-scenes negotiations really were behind closed doors. The sale of BMC should have gone through a binding referendum. We paid for the hospital and you owed us that. And because of financial negligence, whoever was responsible, the Board or the administration, should be fired, but they won't be until they are replaced by Sacred Heart loyalists. Steve Johnson will ride that wave.

The BOCC has given us the airport to nowhere. None of 3,000+ jobs have materialized. We lost a carrier. We can't catch an international flight to anywhere. Pilots on the Atlanta-ECP flight fear the runway that is mushy on hot, summer days. There will be a crash someday. The drive is long and dangerous at night and it's most inconvenient. It gave us the incinerator and all its problems and a sewer line under the bay whose cement pillow band-aid fix will someday erode or meet its demise, perhaps by a storm. Its track record is lousy, and it is a poster child for term limits. One year.

I applaud everyone who spoke at meetings in opposition to the sale of BMC; Dr. Victor Ortega, the County Press who did it excellent expose', the letter writers, the ones who engaged employees in the dialog, the people who made phone calls, the senders of emails - you are the unappreciated and unknown heroes. Time will bear out your honest commentary, your questions, your research and your knowledge, but there is little joy in "I told you so", just a cold bitterness.

As jobs tank, as more homes are foreclosed, as the price of gas and everything else goes up and businesses find they can't do business with people who don't have money, a public, non-profit hospital will just be a memory. You allowed it to happen.

Didn't you realize, you jerks, that this hospital served five counties - it was literally a beating heart - one of the best 50 in the country and a cardiac care specialty hospital...and if anyone dies because of your stupidity and arrogance, the blood will be on your hands?

You don't know what something means to you until you lose it.

We will develop long memories. If we remember nothing else, we will remember this betrayal of the public trust.

The vote was 4 to 1 this morning. Gainer was the only dissenting voice. And I'm not so sure it wasn't lip service to an angry public. He has to sell cars.

If there is a way to get an injunction against this action by the BOCC, I hope some lawyer with guts will step forward and take it on so that the people who paid for this non-profit, special district hospital which provided indigent care can vote in a binding referendum. Only then will this issue be put to rest.

ATTENTION BAY COUNTY, FL AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES

As you may or may not know, Bay Medical Center in Panama City, FL is about to enter into a sale/lease agreement with Sacred Heart. This means indigent care will end in 2-5 years, but then the hospital will probably sell BMC or continue with a 40 year lease, where it will be absorbed by Sacred Heart and remain a private, for-profit hospital with strict adherence to Roman Catholic ideology as to patient care. It will no longer be a non-profit, special district hospital for all people, insured, underinsured or indigent.

This will affect YOU. You may be turned away. The only other hospital in Bay County is Gulf Coast, a smaller, private, for profit hospital.

There are two hearings and if you have used the services of BMC, you should be there. The County Commission will hear from the public on February 15 and 16, in the Government Center complex on 11th Street in Panama City, at 6 p.m.

Bring your questions and your suggestions. The current administration apparently ran it into the ground with poor financial decisions.

The News Herald and the County Press have covered this shameful state of affairs for our hospital, but the County Press did an expose' in two parts by Rosalie Schaeffer that is really good.

Please consider coming to the meetings on both nights. We must not let our hospital slip through our fingers. The Bay County Commission Chairman is George Gainer. He is vehemently against being rushed into this decision, but the rest of the Commissioners need to know how you feel. They are either on the fence or for the "deal".

RICK SANTORUM ON RAPE: VICTIMS SHOULD MAKE THE BEST OF IT

http://www.alternet.org/newsandviews/article/766462/santorum%3A_pregnant_rape_victims_should_%22make_the_best%22_of_it_as_gop_anti-choice_insanity_ramps_up/#paragraph4

This is where I draw a red line with "conservatives".

As long as Roe vs. Wade is law, abortion is legal.

When men (and women), and a hospital (more on this further down) condemn a woman for ending a pregnancy, they have never experienced the emotions, the guilt, the frustration, the fear, that goes along with it. It's a decision that is so difficult, no one can comprehend unless they have stood in a woman's shoes.

Does Mr. Santorum feel that incest is all right? Does the child keep the baby? The constant memory of that terrible episode in her life? That perhaps a gang rape, or date rape, or just plain violent rape is all right? What a horrible thought! There are too few homes for unwanted children to go around, and if a child goes from foster home to foster home, there is enough evidence to prove a case that many of those homes lives a pedophile.

My aunt, a staunch Italian Roman Catholic, had a terribly abusive husband. And of course, that drunken bastard got her pregnant many times. I remember my mother telling me that she used a wire coat hanger to abort her pregnancies because of the church. She didn't have money enough to get to a doctor...when you take in ironing and your husband sits in a bar most of the day and night, you have little to spare. We didn't have welfare in those days, and you stayed with your husband even if he beat you. But several of those DIY abortions resulted in infection, not to mention the STDs he gave her. It's a wonder she lived.

A friend in the '60s suddenly disappeared. I was so worried about her. This was before Roe vs. Wade. In a week she returned and we found out about the abortion, not even knowing she was pregnant. There was so much shame and mystery about it, and the search for a doctor or someone who would perform it was frightening in itself. The stigma of an illegitimate child was almost too much for some of us to bear. We didn't keep the babies in those days - we were "sent away to an aunt". Another friend did that - left her job, (her boss knew and it was waiting for her) but it was a horrible experience to let the baby go and be adopted. She went to a home for unwed mothers, the place of shame, packed off by her religious grandmother, who disapproved of abortions, and my friend was heartbroken. She was engaged to her high school sweetheart, and when she found she was pregnant, he dumped her. I have lost touch with her, a sweet, good-hearted girl with strawberry blond hair almost to her knees and I often think of her.

You walked the streets until you found a willing physician or some shady character who performed the deed for cash and without sterile instrument who could kill you in some motel room or cause infection or great harm so that you could never have another child.

In Panama City, FL, a state district hospital may be taken over by Sacred Heart Hospital (for profit), a Roman Catholic hospital. Discussion are ongoing. This hospital is a non-profit now, serving all in need. In the contract, it states that the tenets of the Church will be upheld - there will be no abortions for any reason, not even for ectopic pregnancies, a complication that very easily will result in a dead fetus and a dead mother, rape, or incest or any other reason. Archaic, cruel dogma. There will not even be birth control available.

This hospital, Bay Medical Center, is state-of-the-art, and serves all of us, with and without insurance - all strata of our population from the homeless infant to the elderly millionaire. That will all change with the Sacred Heart transfer.

We are a conservative community of "Christian" and nondemoninational, some fundamentalist churches. I know the members are not fans of pro-choice...but quietly, in their homes, would they allow a daughter, a wife, a sister to suffer rape or incest and carry that child, only to be given up or kept at the expense of the girl? I know a 12 year-old who became pregnant and kept the baby. She had no childhood and will never get off welfare. And now she has more children.

I am opposed to late-term abortion because it ends the life of a viable infant, but if we believe that God is merciful, he will show mercy to a woman who needs an abortion, not for birth control, mind you, but for reasons of spousal abuse, rape and incest.

That is why the name "Rick Santorum" is not even in my thoughts, unless he and his supporters start adopting these children. But no one mentions that. Ever.

Oh, and in case you're wondering - I am a proud, adoptive mother.

THIS BEAUTIFUL DOG NEEDS A HOME...YESTERDAY

He just can't stand waiting for a treat.

I met him today. He is a very plump stray and no one has come to claim him and that troubles the staff because he is so well cared for.

He's been on death row for three weeks and he is desperate seeking a home because there is almost no time left. Maybe 3-4 days. He is absolutely so full of personality - sweet, playful (I think he's about 2 years old), LOVES treats, sits nicely, and probably is a perfect gentleman and for sure, a perfect companion. He is already neutered. I think he's part Border collie and maybe Australian shepherd (I've had both and they are wonderful dogs), Or maybe collie or Lab. His coat is smooth but his tail is a brush. He's handsome and he's stolen my heart, can't you guess. Because he is neutered, his adoption fee is low. His ID number is: A041462

He is at the Bay County Animal Control shelter in Panama City, FL on highway 231. Ask for Tracy when you call. The number is 850-767-3333. Leave your information if you get a recording. The staff is fully capable of shipping this dog to you by air (we have a local airport and the weather is perfect), or if you are some distance away without an airport, we can probably figure out a transport relay. Work with them. They are great.

Please, please, PLEASE FIND ROOM IN YOUR HEART FOR THIS SWEET BOY. He has a whole lifetime left to devote to you.

HHS AND "MINOR ATTRACTED" PEOPLE, AND KEVIN JENNINGS, HEAD OF DEPT. OF EDUCATION AND A NAMBLA MEMBER

http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/hhs-children-are-sexual-beings-even-infa

http://www.aim.org/aim-report/nambla-gate-the-case-of-kevin-jennings/

I also want to thank Derrell Day, a morning talk show host on WYOO (101.1 fm) in Panama City, FL for taking on the responsibility to expose what HHS has done to "normalize" pedophilia. He did an excellent job. Thanks again, Derrell. You can hear the Derrell (the Derrell Day Show), on www.myfloridaradio.com and click on the facebook page)

This is what blew in the door with Obama. He is not only destroying our country by shredding the Constitution and our rights every day, but he is intent on destroying the moral fiber and structure of the family.

When a child reaches the age of consent, then it is up to them to choose, but until then, it is foremost job of the parents to protect their offspring - and now we are under fire by HHS as well as sexual predators who they are protecting.
