AUSTRALIA: $162,000 for Melanoma Tumor Samples to be sent to the National Cancer Institute
CHINA: Outsourced jobs to China.
● $30 MILLION to an American LED manufacturer to open plants. It did, and half of the company’s employees are now located in China.
● $337 MILLION for an Arizona solar plant – the panels will be supplied by a Chinese solar panel manufacturer.
● GE cancelled a contract with an American manufacturer of parts for Wind Turbines, and then ordered from China. The company, ATI, offered to match the price from China. GE refused the order and the American company laid off 302 workers.
● GE has used Chinese-made Wind Towers over American Towers at Stimulus funded Shepherds Flat Wind Farm in Oregon.
● A solar power company received $5.4 MILLION in grant monies, then laid off America workers based on an increased reliance on imports from China.
DENMARK:
● $51.6 MILLION in Obama Stimulus Grants to build factories in the US. Layoff of 180 US workers have been announce,
● and possibly another 1,600 by the end of 2012. $218 MILLION Stimulus grant for wind turbines for the US assembled in Denmark.
● $25 MILLION for the construction of a “Demonstration Scale Biorefinery.”
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Obama Stimulus funds for Renewable Energy Call Center (could have been a US project).
EL SALVADOR: Stimulus funds used to hire hundreds of workers in El Salvador and the Dominican Republic to administer Renewable Energy Appliance Rebate Program (could have been a US project).
FRANCE: Obama Stimulus funds for foreign-made Wind Turbines. $69 MILLION in cash grants
FINLAND: $100,000 to build luxury electric sports cars
GERMANY:
● $440 MILLION for Wind Farms before Stimulus was passed. Turbines for US used were manufactured in Germany.
● Another $100 MILLION to Spain in grant monies for Wind Farms. In September 2011, the company announced the would lay-off 10% of their American workforce.
GREAT BRITAIN/UK: UK:
● $39 MILLION in Obama Stimulus funds to build electric delivery trucks.
● Another British private equity firm received $40+ MILLION in Obama Stimulus Funds by buying an American company days before the Stimulus funds were designated.
INDIA: Stimulus funds for Wind Turbines manufactured in India for the US use. $69 MILLION in cash grants.
INDONESIA: $1.5 MILLION to reduce pollution in Jakarta, one of Obama’s home cities
ITALY:
● Obama Stimulus funds for foreign-made Wind Turbines. Italian company, Brevini Wind was given a $12.75 MILLION Tax Credit to manufacture gearboxes in Indiana. The company promised to hire 450 Americans. So far, only 70 jobs have evolved and the facility will not be in operation until late 2013.
● Other Italian Wind Turbine manufacturers received of $84 Million in CASH GRANTS throug Obama’s Stimulus
JAPAN: Before the Obama Stimulus was passed, we sent money to Japan to build a Wind Farm. $91.4 MILLION in grants – 180 Turbines manufactured in Japan by Mitsubishi.
LUXEMBOURG: $31.5 MILLION in Obama Stimulus funds for a Waste Heat Recovery Unit
MEXICO:
● Obama Stimulus funds for Mexico. Mexico’s SunPower says some of the solar panels for the $1.3 BILLION stimulus-backed California Solar Valley Ranch will be manufactured in Mexico – not California.
● Another $16 MILLION to create green manufacturing jobs in Mexico, while the US company laid off workers here and sent work to Mexico.
NEW ZEALAND: Stimulus funds go to NZ contractor – work that could have been done by a US contractor. $817,000 awarded to Connexionz to install bus monitors for the city of Santa Clarita.
RUSSIA: We funded a company in Russia. It went bankrupt. Russian investors bought it. $118 MILLION from Obama’s stimulus to produce vehicle batteries. The Russian investor’s company may do work for the US Military!
SPAIN: Obama Stimulus funds for foreign-made Wind Turbines. $1.5 BILLION in loans and grants. The company claimed it had created over 15,000 American jobs but the company has only 850 US-based employees.
SWITZERLAND: A Swiss-based company received $50+ MILLION in Stimulus contracts for Smart Grid Meters. Cathy Zoi, a former Obama Energy Department Official held over $250,000 in stock in the company. Zoi has previously served as an Executive Director with the company before joining the Obama administration.
THAILAND: $200 BILLION for General Motors plant in Thailand – after GM took a taxpayer-funded bailout they build the Thailand lant to build diesel engines for the Chevy Colorado Pickup truck.
VIETNAM: GE builds Wind Turbine plant. GM’s GE’s Jeffery Immelt chairs the President’s Job Council and GM received over $1.2 BILLION in Obama Stimulus funds.
SOUTH KOREA:
● Obama Stimulus funded America jobs used to hire foreign nationals. $300 MILLION to manufacturer electric vehicle batteries after building plants in Michigan. Unions are balking and saying foreign nationals are being brought in to fill jobs for Americans.
● The Department of Energy admits that 11 of 18 contractors are Asian firms. $179 MILLION for parts from South Korea.

A national group of undocumented immigrants are conveying that message in a cross-country bus trip, which made a stop Thursday evening in Asheville. The No Papers No Fear Ride For Justice delegation left Phoenix on July 29 with the ultimate destination of the Democratic National Convention.

 

The bus holds about 30 people, although different undocumented immigrants have joined and left since the trip began. Martin Unzueta, 58, of Chicago, joined the tour last weekend in Atlanta.

“We want to be heard by the politicians,” Unzueta said. “We are not criminals. We’re hard workers here in the United States. We work. We pay taxes. And we don’t have rights. We are fighting for our rights.”

 

The traveling undocumented immigrants have been sharing their stories of living in the shadows and supporting immigrant communities throughout the country. About 100 people gathered for food, story-telling and encouragement at the Western North Carolina Community Health Services Fellowship Hall on Haywood Road.

 

Loida Ginocchio-Silva, a local undocumented immigrant, said she is working for immigration reform that puts people first. “Immigration laws right now are impractical,” Ginocchio-Silva said. “They only make sense for people who have money and who have a lot of resources. It just doesn’t make sense.”

 

Unzueta said the bus tour shows that organization, education and courage can go a long way. The words “No Papers No Fear” are painted on the bus with “Journey For Justice” underneath. On the other side, the same words are in Spanish.

 

“Why immigration doesn’t come get us?” Unzueta asked. “Because we are organized and because we have big support from all around the United States.”

 

Some undocumented immigrants on Thursday shared their stories of encounters with law enforcement, including a few of the people who were detained May 15 in Jackson County by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in connection with traffic checkpoints set up by the Sheriff’s Office.

 

The No Papers No Fear group plans to visit the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office today.

“We’re tired of checkpoints targeting our communities,” Ginocchio-Silva said. “People should have the right to move freely and to live a life with dignity and without fear.”

 

After leaving the Haywood Road location, many of the undocumented immigrants and their supporters went to Shogun Buffet Hibachi Grill and Sushi, 1000 Brevard Road, for a rally. Shogun was the site of an immigration raid that led to the detention of 12 restaurant workers.

The group plans to go to Raleigh before attending the DNC next week in Charlotte.

Here are a couple of thoughts on this subject from a friend on the east coast.

 The U.S. is ramping up its promotional efforts to sign up illegal aliens for the food stamp program. Thy call it "outreach."

I think we can now see why the cost of the food stamp program has more than doubled during Obama's presidency.  This has resulted in a large increase in remittances to Mexico (when Mexicans here send money to their relatives back home) because since they are now being fed by the 1/2 of American workers who pay income taxes, and can afford more to send home - since they don't have to feed themselves any more........
But you do.....

The real purpose of this program, IMHO, is to encourage more illegals to sign up to register and vote....for Obama, of course.

The Mexican government has been working with the United States Department of Agriculture to increase participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or food stamps.

 

USDA has an agreement with Mexico to promote American food assistance programs, including food stamps, among Mexican Americans, Mexican nationals and migrant communities in America.

 

“USDA and the government of Mexico have entered into a partnership to help educate eligible Mexicans living in the United States about available nutrition assistance,” the USDA explains in a brief paragraph on their “Reaching Low-Income Hispanics With Nutrition Assistance” web page. “Mexico will help disseminate this information through its embassy and network of approximately 50 consular offices.”

The partnership — which was signed by former USDA Secretary Ann M. Veneman and Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs Luis Ernesto Derbez Bautista in 2004 — sees to it that the Mexican Embassy and Mexican consulates in America provide USDA nutrition assistance program information to Mexicans living in the U.S, including Mexican nationals working in America and migrant communities in America. The information is specifically focused on eligibility criteria and access.

 

The goal, for USDA, is to get rid of what they see as enrollment obstacles and increase access among potentially eligible populations by working with arms of the Mexican government in America.

Some of the materials the USDA encourages the Mexican government to use to educate and promote the benefit programs are available free online for order and download. A partial list of materials include English and Spanish brochures titled “Five Easy Steps To Snap Benefits,” “How To Get Food Help — A Consumer’s Guide to FNCS Programs,” “Ending Hunger Improving Nutrition Combating Obesity,” and posters with slogans like “Food Stamps Make America Stronger.”

“The partnership with the Mexican embassy was established in 2004,” a USDA spokesman wrote The Daily Caller in an email. “USDA does not perform outreach to immigrants that are undocumented, and therefore not eligible for SNAP.” (RELATED: USDA buckles, removes Spanish food stamp soap operas from website)

 

Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions, who has been pushing for reform of SNAP, sent a letter to Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack on Wednesday demanding more answers and documents pertaining to the partnership.

 

The agency has yet to supply documents and information requested by Sessions’ Senate Budget Committee staff, including the Memorandums of Understanding between USDA and the Mexican government regarding the food assistance partnership.

 

In an interview with TheDC, Sessions explained that the little-known partnership raises questions not just about where tax money is going, but about America’s immigration policy.

“It’s a very disturbing policy, gone on for some years, and it raises very serious questions about American immigration policy as well as fiscal policy,” Session said. “Let’s get back to the fundamentals. What happened with the ‘96 welfare reform was to say that if want to you come to America you come legally, you assert you’re not coming for welfare benefits but you’re coming to work or otherwise be independent. There is no logic behind an immigration policy that would encourage immigrants who can’t successfully operate within this society.”

The Federal Reserve must be deleted from our history of financial folly.

I suggest you subscribe to it - I contacted the blog and asked how. Maybe I missed something.

But you need to read this. "Our" Federal Reserve gave our taxpayer dollars, not to benefit us, but to benefit failing banks and corporations around the world, while our people are crying out and having their lives torn apart for lack of jobs.

A friend called this a.m. to bring this to our attention, though I had received the paper in the mail yesterday. Just hadn't gotten around to reading all of it.

He said he's bought and fueled a bus, stocked it with survival food, gear, etc., and in about two weeks, when we start feeling the first waves of disaster, he's bugging out. He's an old geezer - even older than I, and he's grabbing his boys and families and they're out of here.

He's pretty political, and he foresees this - American troops on the ground here and TSA (who, he says will soon carry weapons), will band together, using the services of local law enforcement (remember, they are federalized and militarized now), against us. But they won't be as much a problem as those desperate for food.

Be prepared. Be careful.

The nut cases in Congress who would do us in for global governance, want it this way.
From top to bottom, our government is about ready to collapse. But good comes from chaos sometimes; I hope we are wise enough to put our Constitution to work and "git 'er done".
