FLORIDA: POLICE OBTAIN BLANKET WARRANT TO SEARCH ALL PERSONS IN APARTMENT COMPLEX

http://current.com/news/92998399_florida-police-obtain-warrant-to-search-all-persons-in-apartment-complex.htm

I want to know from my readers what you think of this. I think is too far over the top.

We have warrantless traffic stops.

Now we have blanket warrants.

The police are taking too much power over the Constitution, and the judges are willing to cooperate. You may think in such a terrible neighborhood this is necessary, but it sets a precedent, and a very dangerous one.

If you lived in an upscale apartment house complex, and under Homeland Security, or an overzealous sheriff or police chief, acting on a tip, the SWAT team could storm your home and
destroy your property, possibly harm or kill you, certainly arrest you if you refused entry under the Fourth Amendment.

Think about your children, your innocence, the protection of four walls you pay for (your "castle"), all endangered or compromised and terrorizing you.

Apparently there were innocent people in that lot.

This is why we have a Bill of Rights. Now it is being bent, folded and mutilated.

These are your storm troopers, IF we allow them to be.

In the coming days and months, you may remember this post.

Maybe it's time for a dialog between you, your law enforcement agencies and your judges.
