A friend forwarded a related piece with a grin, I'm sure. He thinks I am a conspiracy nut.
Yet, against my better judgment, one of my dogs has one; NAIS RFIDs have been defeated as a general blanket for all livestock and our genitalia are going to be fully exposed to TSA personnel and anyone else (ever hear of computer hackers, voyeurs and perverts everywhere including airports and court houses) and this is abuse of our Constitutional freedoms. Your emails and web searches are going into huge government databases as we talk about this, and the thought police are salivating over shutting down the internet unless we pay per item, and setting up regional and local cybersecurity agency offices to monitor and making interns of your children. We are scanned constantly on the street; satellites can see the roots of your hair when you need to get your hair colored, and your irises are scanned and you are going to have to be thumb scanned to get your time card at work.
No more freedom of speech, John. And you are still an occasional actor. That should be so precious to you that you can't live without it or oxygen. Same difference. No freedom of creativity; no theater arts. Books and music burned or the availability turned off. State run theater - by approval only.
No, John. Don't grin.
It's a good thing you're as old as you are, you old liberal rascal, you. Because it's coming. But before it comes, I have a feeling there's going to be a rebellion the likes of which has never been seen on our soil for a couple of centuries.
You see, there are a handful of people in Washington, DC, who are still afraid to venture forth in the snow and cold weather (can't they afford warm clothes), to run the gubmint. And these people are the worst cowards of them all. And they are pushing and pushing and pushing us.
Our politics, our purchases, our travels, our health, our food, our pets, the people we communicate with, what we watch and listen to (NPR - you're safe - it's state run radio). Every detail of our lives can be on those chips, and if "they" don't like it, our chip can be shut off. Simple as that, John.
We will not be cornered. And push is going to come to shove pretty soon.
Just saying.
It's a feeling.
