Taz is a tiny miniature pinscher who is recovering from severe head trauma and attempted suffocation by his owner's landlord.
The family has run out of funds for veterinary services and Taz is home but changed forever.
The landlord is in jail.
This is also a story of how veterinary charges are becoming prohibitive. The animals suffer; the families suffer, and many of us are in a quandary if we can't afford veterinary care. Do you put the animal down? Do you overdraw your checking account? Do you max out your credit cards?
The veterinarians locally have lost their hearts in pursuit of money. Many of us can no longer afford care. Veterinarians take an oath...where do they draw the line between money and compassionate care and dedication?
