Ever drive in high mountains? At Caples Lake, in the Sierra Nevada, at about 8,000' it takes a few days to acclimate the body without getting altitude sickness.
Have the troops we are sending to the mountains of Afghanistan been trained in high altitudes?
If they train at sea level, they will not be ready or prepared. It is winter.
If they have been prepared, they will be sitting ducks. Heavy military equipment may not be able to function in the passes - this is rugged country - the foothills to the Himalayas. They may need horses. Are they skilled in horsemanship? In winter survival skills?
Just a question. Who's got the answer?
Why are we not just sending missiles in from Navy vessels? Bombers? This, is, we are told, a war. You enter a war to kill people. It is not pretty. It is brutal. It is destruction. One side wins, one side loses. People are maimed. Bodies are splattered. Brains and bloody bits of human carcasses of all ages and sexes litter the streets, rocks, vegetation, vehicles.
What's the problem?
You can't fight a "nice", politically correct war.
Patton's speech is here on this blog. Find it; read it.
Then impeach Obama.
