From Expatriate Games (Okinawa)

Fascism in the News:

Dedicated to covering government intrusions that squelch individual liberties!
Most people associate Fascism with the Nazi’s and third world right wing dictatorships. Like communism, Fascism is a leftist command and control ideology built on lies. It’s insidious like a cancer and it’s and on the march worldwide! To stop it, we must stand up to it!

Govt will need to help shape U.S. media--Waxman
A top Democratic lawmaker predicted on Wednesday that the government will be involved in shaping the future for struggling U.S. media organizations.

Comment: Just in time for the 2010 elections, the government will bail out the media. That should guarantee the Demagogue-Rats some good press leading up to the vote!

Polls' built-in bias may skew climate views
Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama says he is determined to forestall irreversible climate damage by drastically cutting Japan's global warming gas emissions 25 percent by 2020 compared with the 1990 level, a bold pledge praised by the U.N., European leaders, developing nations like China, and environmental NGOs.

Comment: So I guess maybe the pollsters in Japan must have been using the same “trick” to skew the numbers that the Climate Research Unit (CRU) folks at the U. of East Anglia used to hide the decline in temperatures for the last decade! If that is the case, the CRU folks work wasn’t all for naught! At least we know that the “trick” works!

On the Road to the Servile State
In recent months, there has been a good deal of discussion of change in the United States. Sadly, over the last two centuries, the direction in which this country has been changing seems to be away from liberty and towards more control.

Comment: The headline should read, “India Turns its Back on Fascism!” All I can say is Hooray for India!

Climategate emails force Al Gore to cancel talk at Copenhagen
Al Gore’s scheduled December 16th speech with the auspicious title “Climate Conclusion” has been canceled amid the scandal of Climategate. About 3,000 Danes had tickets for the Berlinske Media event that was announced in August.

Comment: Perhaps it would be better if he just cancelled his trip! Still, one has to consider the sizable amount of carbon dioxide that the atmosphere will be spared by not having him speak. Perhaps they’re counting on the cancelling of this one event to make the conference “Carbon Neutral!”

Copenhagen climate summit: 1,200 limos, 140 private planes and caviar wedges
Copenhagen is preparing for the climate change summit that will produce as much carbon dioxide as a town the size of Middlesbrough.

Comment: Wouldn’t it be better for all of us if they just cancelled the whole thing! Nah, then they’d miss out on the “ladies of the evening!”

Business Fumes Over Carbon Dioxide Rule
Officials gather in Copenhagen this week for an international climate summit, but business leaders are focusing even more on Washington, where the Obama administration is expected as early as Monday to formally declare carbon dioxide a dangerous pollutant.

Comment: What the Whistleblower giveth, the EPA taketh away!

Quote(s) of the Week:

"I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution or that have failed their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden. I will not attempt to discover whether legislation is "needed" before I have first determined whether it is constitutionally permissible. And if I should later be attacked for neglecting my constituents "interests, " I shall reply that I was informed that their main interest is liberty and that in that cause I am doing the very best I can."
~~~~~Barry Goldwater
“In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm and three or more is a congress.”
~~~~~John Adams

“Fight organized crime: Re-elect no one!”
