The new incarnation of Boston Dynamics’ PETMAN robot, being developed for DARPA with Department of Defense funding, not only looks human but it also sweats to regulate body temperature. A new video showing PETMAN in action depicts the robot dressed up in a post-apocalyptic chem-bio suit with sensors embedded to detect hazardous chemicals.   “Decked out in chem-resistant camo and a dystopic gas mask, this robot couldn’t look more human,” writes Jason Dorrier.   When the clothing is removed, the robot looks something like Sonny from the movie I, Robot. PETMAN is self-balancing and can also do push-ups, walk, stretch, and squat reports Infowars News.   As you can see from the previous incarnations of PETMAN in the videos below, as the robot’s capabilities increase, so does its resemblance to a human being.   That will only serve to increase concerns expressed by numerous robotic experts, that the Pentagon’s fleet of cyborgs is being developed with one primary goal in mind – to pursue “suspects” and kill large numbers of people on the future battlefield. Winston, the protagonist, has been captured and being tortured for daring to read a book written by "Goldstein" on how life was when there was personal liberty and freedom. Through his endless torture, O'Brien takes credit for writing it. The man he trusted who gave him the book is now his torturer. He has no idea how long he has been held, since there is only artificial light, no windows, and his torture has included brutal beatings, infliction of clinical pai, drugs and what I presume are shock treatments.

Winston and O'brien are having a conversation. You see, O'Brien needs to know if the torture is working - if Winston is beginning to submit his mind to the the government teachings...

What happens when the bottom falls out of the economy, the banks take a holiday, the food runs out in the markets and the city is overrun by looters and thugs wanting YOUR possessions, YOUR food, YOUR money so that they can sell them or use them themselves? You have nowhere to turn. You might even be without electric power and be sitting ducks for the government to herd you away to FEMA camps or marauding gangs. Do you bar the bathroom door and cower in fear? Do you use a fire escape? What DO YOU DO?

You defend yourself like an American citizen and you protect your family, yourself and your possessions with the guarantee of the Second Amendment behind you. You are NOT dragged from your apartment by soldiers into white buses or trains with shackles on the seats that go to FEMA camps or harmed by thugs who will kill you as soon as look at you.

Some days I feel like we are in a cross between "1984" and a Stephen King novel called "The Stand".

I hope and pray I'm wrong.

1984 - GEORGE ORWELL'S STORY OF AMERICAN, JUST A LITTLE TOO EARLY

This is a good movie to watch on the Fourth of July holiday. The last three entries in this blog - the one on Japanese turdburgers and "Soylent Green" , the one on the disappearance of America's former glory and freedom and this are sobering testaments on how we have lost the purpose of this grand experiment.

We are not going forward to insure our guarantees of liberty, freedom and governance BY THE PEOPLE. The tail is wagging the dog. We are going backward at breakneck speed.


So what will we celebrate this Fourth of July? Our independence from a corrupt, overreaching, tyrannical government? This particular Fourth of July we are reminded of our military, dying for a President - not fighting a declared war by Congress. We are reminded that we have a president who is grooming himself to be a totalitarian force against the people. We are reminded that our economy has sunk so far into the toilet that we are not recovering - we are run by a group of liars and thieves. Our freedom is taken from us in airports, we are under surveillance by hidden cameras waiting to "catch us". Our police have military weapons, and act brutally every day. There are so many things to say here. And I suggest we hang our flags upside down - partially because if we allow ourselves to think about it, the responsibility to act forcefully, even by a telephone call to a Senator, has not been fulfilled on a personal level.

We are out of money. The country is out of money. Our Congress is waging a friendly war, one side pitted against the other, but in the end, they are all cronies. Someone must stand and say, NO MORE COMPROMISE.

Maybe this Fourth of July, that should be on the lips of everyone enjoying a cookout in backyards - tell your neighbors NO MORE COMPROMISE.

IT'S TIME IN OUR UNITED STATES TO SHOUT OUT LOUD - NO MORE COMPROMISE.

It's time to be strong and stand for the Declaration of Independence. Read it to your audience before you hit the hotdogs and hamburgers. Here is the glorious document in its original text:
