Last week Obama said, “I, like most Americans, believe
that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual the right to bear arms. I
think we recognize the traditions of gun ownership that passed on from
generation to generation, that hunting and shooting are part of a national
heritage. . ."
Was
he lying then or was he lying back in 2003 when as an Illinois State Senator he
voted for a bill banning the private ownership of hunting shotguns, target
rifles, and black powder rifles in Illinois?
Either his vote to ban hunting weapons reflected his
views, or his words last week reflect his views, both cannot be true. Since his
2003 vote was an action, not just political platitudes to the masses, I tend to
believe that Obama would prefer that only the government could be armed, but
knows that expressing the desire of his heart would cost him the election in
November.
The
Chicago Defender reported in 1999 that Obama proposed a 500 percent increase in
federal taxes on the sale of firearm ammunition. A year later, Illinois state
senator, Obama, co-sponsored legislation limiting the firearms purchases by
law-abiding citizens.
Actions speak louder than words, Obama’s actions and
past confirm that not only does he not respect the 2nd amendment, but he’s a
liar.
Tomorrow I’ll take action, I’m going to take a Boy Scout
to the range and help him work on his Marksmanship merit badge, and then to
Chick-Fil-A for lunch.

The second prohibition is a swinging door. It was first added in 1963, at which time the federal government tried to silence the heavy public outcry when word got around that two years prior, in 1961, John F. Kennedy had signed the Disarmament Law: Public Law 87-297! The United Nations professes to be ‘peaceful’ and claims that “the use of force is subordinated to the rule of law”. The U.N. was built to have the only army in the world and all nations would have to give troops and access over their territory to the powerful U.N. CHINA READIES $15.1 BILLION CHECK FOR KEYSTONE PIPELINE OIL
President Green Jobs and his environmentalist wackos really showed us, didn’t they?
The political naivete of Barack Hussein
Obama is incredible. Yep, President Green Jobs thought he could kill the
Keystone XL Pipeline Project until after the election (to keep the
environmentalist wackos in line), and then simply change his mind and
all would be well with the labor unions – and the rest of the country –
who thought he was a pandering hypocrite for vetoing the pipeline the
first place.
Following his announcement to kill the
pipeline, the Canadian government vowed – before O’s teleprompter had
cooled down – to sell its oil elsewhere, saying it could no longer rely
on the reliability of the United States as its primary oil trading
partner.
Guess what, O? Canada meant that.
China’s state-run oil company CNOOC is on
the verge of finalizing a $15.1 billion deal – the largest ever foreign
acquisition by a Chinese company -with Canadian oil company Nexen to
purchase oil that would have flowed through the Keystone Pipeline to
America. As a result, Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi
(D-CA) are in full backpedal mode.
This concept is completely incomprehensible to O, Pelosi, Schumer & Co. – a government making a declarative statement and actually following through on it. You see, on Planet Liberal Looney Tunes, everything Democrats say and do is political
– solely designed to placate different groups at different times – all
for the purpose of winning elections and clinging to power. That Canada
could make a such a bold (business) decision – and actually follow through on that decision is as foreign to liberals as is exercise to Michael Moore.
Here are Schumer and Pelosi, whose panic would be hysterical – if the topic weren’t so serious:
In a letter to the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), Schumer wrote:
“I respectfully urge you, in your capacity as chairman of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), to withhold approval of this transaction to ensure U.S. companies reciprocal treatment.”
You’re barking up the wrong tree, Chuck; your president
destroyed the possibility of “reciprocal treatment” for U.S. companies
by killing the pipeline. (But hey – the environmentalist wackos are
happy, right?)
Incredibly – although completely predictably – the San Fran Loon went even farther by blaming the Chinese:
“This deal prompts great concern about the Chinese government’s continued attempts to use its state-owned enterprises to acquire global energy resources.”
Earth to Nancy: The “great concern” which should be “prompted” is
about your party (O) playing politics in the face of economic and
security threats to the United States, you moron.
In addition to making all decisions with an eye on the voting booth,
another fatal flaw in the liberal thinking process is the concept that
the United States somehow operates in a vacuum – a world with no bad
guys, competitors, nor countries who seek to capitalize (literally, in
this case) on America’s mistakes. We see it in their childlike position
on water-boarding (“torture”). A dyed-in-the-wool liberal would rather
deny that he/she would use water-boarding to stop an imminent nuclear
attack on the United States – or the murder of his/her family, for that
matter – than admit to the ridiculousness of the position.
So it went with O and the Keystone Pipeline; he naively believed that
Canada would sit idly by until after the election – when he would, of
course, reverse his position (Damn, Canada – haven’t you seen how this
guy operates?), and play nice with the pipeline.
The only problem for O – and America – is that Canada wasn’t bluffing.

The Imperial Executive"Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it." --Declaration of Independence (1776)This being the week designated to celebrate American Liberty, I paused to read the Declaration of Independence, as I do every anniversary of its signing. In that venerable old parchment, our Founders reduced to words the eternal source of Liberty as "endowed by our Creator," and then outlined their grievances against an imperial executive who willfully violated that endowment "which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitled them." The Unanimous Declaration was, in the words of Thomas Jefferson, its principal author, "the declaratory charter of our rights, and the rights of man." It opens by defining those rights, framing the relationship between the Creator and His people, the people and the government, and then listing how the executive had violated their God-given rights, "all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States." Among those "injuries and usurpations" committed by the executive, they noted: "He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good. ... He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them. ... He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers. ... He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance. ... He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation." The comparison between the imperial powers which gave rise to the American Revolution and the imperial presidency which now threatens the Essential Liberty our Founders fought for, and generations of American Patriots have since defended, is unavoidable. Barack Hussein Obama recently lamented, "It turns out our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes." However, he added, "One of the things about being President is you get better as time goes on." Indeed, he has become quite better at forging ahead with his agenda to supplant Rule of Law with rule of men, in flagrant disregard of his Oath of Office. The evidence of Obama's self-anointed imperial status is mounting. He created swarms of "czars" unaccountable to Congress. He circumvented Congress by using the Environmental Protection Agency to implement his cap-and-trade scheme. He used the National Labor Relations Board to circumvent the Employee Free Choice Act. He used the Federal Communications Commission to circumvent the judiciary's proscription on regulating the Internet. He used the Department of Education to force national education standards. In other cases, Obama has simply ignored the law completely. He ordered the Department of Justice to cease enforcement of the Defense of Marriage Act. He ordered the Department of Health and Human Services to force private religious institutions to fund abortions and other measures contrary to their Biblical moral code. He ordered the Department of Homeland Security's immigration service to use "prosecutorial discretion" in order to stop the mandated deportation of illegal immigrants. Regarding the latter, even former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales responded, "To halt through the deportation of some undocumented immigrants looks like a political calculation to win Hispanic votes, and subjects him to criticism that he is violating his oath of office by selectively failing to enforce the law." Most recently, Obama claimed "executive privilege" to avoid further investigation into "Fast and Furious," a scheme designed to promote the administration's efforts to undermine "the palladium of all rights," our Second Amendment. Of course, Obama's imperial ascension is fully in keeping with his narcissistic pathology, and he's made plain that he doesn't intend to be constrained by the law. Soon after his election, his former Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, proclaimed that Obama would use "executive orders and directives to get the job done across a front of issues." And Obama himself boldly decreed earlier this year, "Whenever Congress refuses to act, Joe [Biden] and I, we're going to act. In the months to come, wherever we have an opportunity, we're going to take steps on our own [to implement my agenda]." In the 24 hours following a tragic shooting spree at a packed Aurora, Colorado movie theater that left 12 people dead and dozens wounded, the 2nd Amendment has already come under heavy fire by politicians, Hollywood stars, and the mainstream media.
In a radio interview, New York Mayor Bloomberg called on President Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney to “stand up and tell us what they’re going to do about it” referring to guns in America. Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) has announced plans to reintroduce legislation that would restrict the availability of high-capacity gun magazines. CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin criticized legislators in an interview with Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, asking “What has to happen for Washington to reinstate the Assault Weapons Ban which expired back in 2004?” The Daily Beast made its anti-gun case in a story entitled, “Why Don’t Mass Shootings Lead to Gun Control?” and the San Francisco Chronicle mirrored the sentiment with “Tragedy Shows Need for Gun Control,” tossing blame at politician cowardice. Actress Susan Sarandon tweeted, “The right to bear arms was referring to muskets. Maybe it's time to re-think our gun policy on this day of slaughter in Colorado.”
Of course no one bothered to point out any instances when a lawful gun owner saved lives in a deadly, or potentially deadly, mass shooting situation in this country:
When our forefathers penned the Constitution, the purpose of the 2nd Amendment was made perfectly clear within its own wording:
Our president is continually bypassing Congress and violating our nation’s laws, effectively transforming the American presidency into a dictatorship. Our skies are set to be filled with Constitution-violating spy drones, and the Transportation Security Administration hires known pedophiles to molest our children in our nation’s airports. There are least forty armed federal agencies including the Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Education; our military and law enforcement alone possess four million guns. According to the CATO Institute, 44 botched paramilitary raids across the U.S. have killed over 120 innocent people — including 29 children — in the last 25 years. It was revealed that the Department of Homeland Security ordered 450 million rounds .40 caliber ammunition earlier this year as well — roughly 1.5 bullets for each man, woman, and child in America. The huge ammo buy left websites like The American Dream asking, “What possible event would ever require that much ammunition?”
Perhaps this situation calls for more explicit perspective. While the Colorado shooter was able to murder 12 people, how many more people have been killed by the thousands of guns admittedly shipped into Mexico by our own government in the Fast and Furious scandal? By mid-2011, these guns had been recovered at nearly 50 Mexican crime scenes, including violent drug gang shootouts and brutal kidnappings. The blood of those killed as a result of this covert gunwalking operation is on the hands of our government. Leaked emails from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives show ATF agents planned to use the scandal to ultimately undermine the 2nd Amendment. As many of the Fast and Furious guns are still unaccounted for, the ripples of potential death and destruction are staggering.
History shows that leaders who attempt to grab total control always disarm a populace first. President Obama is currently negotiating the UN Arms Trade Treaty which may result in mandatory gun registration, making it easier for the government to confiscate firearms and bringing America one step closer to disarmament. Socialist leader Hugo Chávez has begun enforcing crushing new rights restrictions with UN support to disarm the Venezuelan people in the name of “preserving peace”. Hitler banned Jews from owning firearms prior to their mass extermination. Tyrants Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot and Chairman Mao Tse-tung among others disarmed their citizens as well. Millions of people died in the democide — death by government — that followed. As Alex Jones noted in his 2012 documentary New World Order: Blueprint for Madmen, “Of all the real, proven threats to humanity, none of them have killed as many people as government itself.”
With the current police state Americans find themselves living in, it is no wonder polls show that personal gun purchases are on a record rise. With all due respect to victims of gun violence, our inherent 2nd Amendment rights are absolutely necessary to protect not only our freedom, but our very lives.
As founding father George Mason said back in 1788, “To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them."

Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) has announced plans to reintroduce legislation that would restrict the availability of high-capacity gun magazines. CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin criticized legislators in an interview with Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, asking “What has to happen for Washington to reinstate the Assault Weapons Ban which expired back in 2004?” The Daily Beast made its anti-gun case in a story entitled, “Why Don’t Mass Shootings Lead to Gun Control?” and the San Francisco Chronicle mirrored the sentiment with “Tragedy Shows Need for Gun Control,” tossing blame at politician cowardice. Actress Susan Sarandon tweeted, “The right to bear arms was referring to muskets. Maybe it's time to re-think our gun policy on this day of slaughter in Colorado.”
Of course no one bothered to point out any instances when a lawful gun owner saved lives in a deadly, or potentially deadly, mass shooting situation in this country:
- In 1997, an assistant principal grabbed a .45 from the glove compartment of his truck and subdued a teen shooter at his Mississippi high school after two students were shot and seven were injured (source).
- In February 2007, an armed off-duty officer was able to fend off a shooter in a Utah mall until police could arrive (source). Later that same year, a Colorado woman with a pistol permit took down a gunman after a shooting spree that spanned 12 hours and two churches left five people dead (source).
- Last year, a pharmacist with a concealed carry permit was able to stop two armed robbers who had taken customers hostage at his Michigan drugstore (source).
- Just last month, a legally armed passerby was able to end a vicious attack on a woman in Georgia simply by brandishing his weapon and threatening to use it (source).
When our forefathers penned the Constitution, the purpose of the 2nd Amendment was made perfectly clear within its own wording:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.Criminals surely commit violent crimes, but our own government is armed to the teeth. The 2nd Amendment does not only regard one's personal self-defense, but it speaks to the broader ability of the people to keep a potentially oppressive, out-of-control government and its standing army in check. Right now, our government is in anything but check.
Our president is continually bypassing Congress and violating our nation’s laws, effectively transforming the American presidency into a dictatorship. Our skies are set to be filled with Constitution-violating spy drones, and the Transportation Security Administration hires known pedophiles to molest our children in our nation’s airports. There are least forty armed federal agencies including the Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Education; our military and law enforcement alone possess four million guns. According to the CATO Institute, 44 botched paramilitary raids across the U.S. have killed over 120 innocent people — including 29 children — in the last 25 years. It was revealed that the Department of Homeland Security ordered 450 million rounds .40 caliber ammunition earlier this year as well — roughly 1.5 bullets for each man, woman, and child in America. The huge ammo buy left websites like The American Dream asking, “What possible event would ever require that much ammunition?”
Perhaps this situation calls for more explicit perspective. While the Colorado shooter was able to murder 12 people, how many more people have been killed by the thousands of guns admittedly shipped into Mexico by our own government in the Fast and Furious scandal? By mid-2011, these guns had been recovered at nearly 50 Mexican crime scenes, including violent drug gang shootouts and brutal kidnappings. The blood of those killed as a result of this covert gunwalking operation is on the hands of our government. Leaked emails from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives show ATF agents planned to use the scandal to ultimately undermine the 2nd Amendment. As many of the Fast and Furious guns are still unaccounted for, the ripples of potential death and destruction are staggering.
History shows that leaders who attempt to grab total control always disarm a populace first. President Obama is currently negotiating the UN Arms Trade Treaty which may result in mandatory gun registration, making it easier for the government to confiscate firearms and bringing America one step closer to disarmament. Socialist leader Hugo Chávez has begun enforcing crushing new rights restrictions with UN support to disarm the Venezuelan people in the name of “preserving peace”. Hitler banned Jews from owning firearms prior to their mass extermination. Tyrants Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot and Chairman Mao Tse-tung among others disarmed their citizens as well. Millions of people died in the democide — death by government — that followed. As Alex Jones noted in his 2012 documentary New World Order: Blueprint for Madmen, “Of all the real, proven threats to humanity, none of them have killed as many people as government itself.”
With the current police state Americans find themselves living in, it is no wonder polls show that personal gun purchases are on a record rise. With all due respect to victims of gun violence, our inherent 2nd Amendment rights are absolutely necessary to protect not only our freedom, but our very lives.
As founding father George Mason said back in 1788, “To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them."
