It's done. No innocent was harmed. The ex-con had a gun. Of course, that is not possible because felons can't have firearms.

I think, personally, that every school employee in the United States, should, if it is their desire, have a legal, concealed weapon on them during school hours. They should be proficient with its use in situations of self-protection and defense of their charges. Had that been the case, this situation yesterday would not have taken 40 minutes to resolve.
I would feel very safe if my child's teacher carried a concealed weapon.
