I spoke to my friend Sue in MO. Sue and Jim have a small hobby farm now, but were into it seriously until Jim decided to retire. Crops and livestock.
She was telling me how expensive feed is, and now, they can't even afford chicken manure compost from the factory farms.
We need to tell the government 'HANDS OFF' THE FAMILY FARM. AGRIBUSINESS IS NOT THE ANSWER FOR MORE REASONS THAN I HAVE ROOM, INCLUDING THE SAFETY OF "HOME GROWN" FOOD VS. BIG AGRA.
