Our ancestors were also forced to endure additional hardships imposed
upon us by our own kind. I suspect that this was due to the fact that
most, but not all, humans have a tendency to shrug off minor attacks
against us until resistance is futile in the hope that the offenders
will lose interest in us and leave. Human Beings are also prone to being
quite gullible and susceptible to irrational mob behavior.
Human beings have therefore endured tyrannical conquests, slavery,
various extremist revealed religious and political cults, mass
imprisonment, and genocides.
Indeed, the tyrants have even learned how to fool us into believing
that we desire to be ruled by them within the territory that they
control. We as human beings largely believe that it is our duty to
sacrifice our own lives for the ruler(s) even as we contend that all men
