HURRICANE IRENE - THE APOCALYPSE THAT NEVER WAS

http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/tobyharnden/100102355/perfect-storm-of-hype-politicians-the-media-and-the-hurricane-irene-apocalypse-that-never-was/

Eatontown, NJ - some wind, trees down, rain. Power out.

Windham, NY - businesses lost, flooding, broken dam, rain. Wind. Comment from a 25 year resident: Haven't seen anything like this before. Power out.

Atlantic City, NJ - If you had wanted to, you could have gone swimming. Casinos closed for nothing.

Montpelier, VT - It's going to rain all day.

I saw a reporter on TV standing at the waterline on a beach (I don't know where), and just seemingly being battered by wind and rain and the water was lap, lap, lapping at his toes. Really.

OVERKILL folks.

But OMG! There is flooding (normal). And in Manhattan. What will those poor, poor people stuck in highrises without water and AC do?
