And a tribute to Mom and Dad - and especially my father who would sing this song and do an impromptu Charleston for me at the drop of a hat and make everyone laugh. Here they are fishing during the Depression. They fished to eat, they fished for fun, and they taught me well. They gardened where there wasn't any work. And today I planted my four little tomato plants.
I did not inherit their green thumbs, unfortunately. But I can still do a Charleston!
