And so I really felt inspired when I saw these videos and the efforts one man is making on their behalf in California.
In our town, a Baptist Church is willing to lease property to the city for a campground for the homeless.
I was thinking...what would Jesus do? Would he lease the land for compensation from the city so the city could take a tax deduction (I believe that is how it works), or would he just give the land to the city, or the local mission, or even keep it, erect a series of tiny houses (we have many families now who are on the street due to loss of jobs and foreclosures), or jazzed up storage sheds which could be habitable on the property?
Just thinking.
