My grandfather was a shoemaker from Italy. I always wanted the lasts that were in the cellar of my grandparents' old house on Staten Island. When Dad and I went to look, they were gone.
I love shoes. Not that you'd know that now - these are more practical. Slingbacks, maybe strappy, really high heels. Not to digress, of course...it doesn't make sense to walk dogs or chase damselflies in strappy high heel slingbacks.
