THREE CHEERS FOR HOWIE!
It has taken him so long to be adopted. But now he's safe at home.
Here's the email I just received from his benefactor, Jim.
Thanks for all your interest and caring about Howie, the dog we found in Florida. Got word today that his adoption went through and he has a wonderful home in Arlington, Virginia with a nice family with a great house and yard, beds for him on all three floors, and a family that includes a work at home Dad who will be there with him every day. I'm so glad it all worked out for him and I just wanted to let you know.
Blessings on the lucky family who adopted this dog, whose unflagging spirit and indomitable will to live was so great, he was not euthanized when most dogs in his condition would have been. Some will make you sing.
It has taken a good year and a half to recover and finally find a home.
God watches over animals and their rescuers, too.
