FLORIDIANS: HORRIFIED AT THE NEW VEHICLE FEES?
As you will know as soon as you receive your tag renewals, vehicle fees, including renewal of drivers licenses, etc., that they have doubled.
Rep. Marti Coley's reports to us that she had to vote the budget, yes or no. She was opposed to this, preferring instead a penny tax (that doesn't sit well, either - what does that go to - surveillance cameras?).
The Democrats have introduced HB99 to rescind these excessive fees.
The Republicans have introduced HB71 for the same purpose. Both of these bills are just
sitting, not moving.
To rescue us from this misery, this excessive financial burden, we need to call our Florida Representatives and start these bills moving toward passage.
Please make a phone call and let's make this happen, Florida!

Florida House Bill 99 - One which needs your support
http://floridademocraticnews.blogspot.com/2009/09/rep-alan-williams-sponsors-bill-to.html
Floridians were shocked to find all their vehicle related fees have at least doubled. There is another bill similar to Alan Williams I haven't found yet - but until I do, you need to make some phone calls to your Representatives to repeal these crippling fees.
Same thing with the state septic tank inspections coming our way that Jimmy Patronis up here in Bay County introduced. WHAT NEXT? I guess they only want one term or get booted out when we find them out.
GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR POCKETS Y'ALL! THEY'RE EMPTY!
