ENVIRONMENTALISTS GIVE OBAMA A PASS ON THE OIL SPILL
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0610/38451.html
He's their golden child. He can destroy anything he wants to by any means possible. In this case,
the Gulf of Mexico and all its bounty, by ineptitude, by delay, by ignorance, by greed, and because more than anything, he wants Cap and Trade to pass.
We will someday learn that BP personnel were at fault, but Obama worked in collusion.
And then when the Gulf is dead, the manatees bloated, oil-covered, and belly up with the dolphins and the whales, the sting rays, the reef fish, the birds, he will stand away from our dead sea and jut out his jaw and say "we did all we could".
He needs to be yanked out of office now, with anyone who had their fingers in this pie and BP made to pay.

COREXIT IS KILLING THE GULF OF MEXICO
http://www.infowars.com/corexit-is-killing-the-gulf-2/
In a post yesterday, I gave you the information on Dispersit, but this safer dispersant won't be used because BP has interests in NALCO. There is profiteering going on here and the Gulf and its people are the helpless pawns, as the oil moves into Bay County, FL, and no one wants to hear the truth.

LOUISIANA FISHERIES IN DANGER OF BEING LOST
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=arVrjo0djH.Y
In a state crippled from Katrina, now this, I hope that Bobby Jindal will push for the Bakken oil reserves to be opened so his people can be employed.
When the devastation to the fisheries, which includes oysters, crabs, crawfish, fish, mussels, marine mammals and the toll on wildlife in the estuaries, that will end not only the fishing, but the tourism as well.
Be forewarned - we will be eating seafood from China which may be unsafe, treated with toxins and bought by a clamoring US public.
We can't allow that.
Surely there is technology that will hasten the cleanup and cap those wells.
I hope that if you have the time, space and dedication, you will volunteer for the cleanup effort onshore and those of you who can, volunteer to clean birds and mammals and help them recover.

Breaking news: Eco-terrorism, enemy attack or accident? Another rig overturns in Louisiana
http://www.care2.com/causes/environment/blog/breaking-second-oil-rig-overturns-in-lousiana-contaminating-inland-waters/
Whatever or whoever is behind this, needs to be discovered and somehow the leakage stopped.
What about a very small nuclear device inserted into the well, dropped down to about half the length of the pipe, and hot enough to melt the rock and seal it?
Now there is NO EXCUSE NOW, MR. SOETORO/OBAMA, NOT TO OPEN THE BAKKEN TO DRILLING SO WE CAN BENEFIT FROM CHEAP NATURAL GAS AND OIL FOR OUR COUNTRY, AND NOT FOR OTHERS.
Our fisheries are ruined for 200 years, jobs lost, our wildlife killed or threatened, our tourism decimated, and you twiddled your thumbs for 8 missing hours so you could decide to send SWATS TO THE ARE. You should have been in a helicopter immediately flying to Louisiana. If this Reuters report is true, and a second rig tipped and is leaking, and the SWATS were there, who was asleep at the switch?

Freshwater and anadromous fish in peril -

http://www.ens-newswire.com/ens/sep2008/2008-09-09-02.asp
This link was sent via one of my odonata lists (dragonflies and damsels). The imperiled fish live where odes do - they live side by side - and the insects do not seem to be endangered.
There is an interactive link with a map to your area. If you do any fishing, or are interested in salt or fresh water ecology, take a look. I caught an alligator gar once and I won't forget it. What a fight it gave on light tackle. Lots of teeth in those babies, and it was returned unharmed up on Econfina near where the alligator scared me.
This report comes out of Gainesville, FL but is relevant to the US, Mexico and Canada.
