Oh, Florida - you have to pay attention to these little details.

In Bay County, there is one seat on the County Commission that deserves attention, too.

It's Bill Busch (David), against Guy Tunnell (Goliath, but only in stature), a Democrat turned Republican when it politically expedient. The "Guy" with the bulging campaign coffers, and a career in law enforcement that is as long as his arm.

Bill Busch, on the other hand, is going to be a full-time County Commissioner, heretofore unheard of, made 100 hand lettered signs, refused campaign donations and bows to no one, and owes no favors. Unbuyable. My kind of guy. He didn't make a website, and he refused campaign funds.

I WANT MR. CLEAN, NOT MR. COP. WE HAVE ENOUGH COPS. WE DON'T NEED ONE ON OUR COUNTY COMMISSION.

So who would you vote for?

Tunnell was the "Guy" who wrote the rules for the Sheriff's Boot Camp - you know, the one in Panama City where the knuckle draggers let that boy suffocate.

He went on to the FDLE where his job was unremarkable. I believe he was fired... He's been bouncing around a bit, settled on this plum of a job. His campaign signs are BIG. But they don't impress me.

Now he wants a second or third pension. There was a good article in the Panama City News Herald today and another on the Representatives. You should go online and read it. Guy Tunnell LOVES HOMELAND SECURITY, something that Sleepy Creek readers know about;
LOVES lots of law enforcement, wants to cooperate with all government crap. Oops. Did I say that? Well, that's how it is. I don't want an ex-sheriff/cop/politician who "knows" the ins and outs (that all leads to corruption) in my county government anymore. That's why Bay County is in the mess it's in.

Wherever you are, forget the glut of campaign signs and be careful who you vote for.

Out with the old, in with the new. I don't really want anyone with experience in my government.
Let's start out fresh, and if they turn out to be lousy, we unelect them.
