I know so many of you are heartsick about this. 

Please, if you have an opinion, leave a comment.  My father was Roman Catholic - such a devout man.  His whole family is religious.  I can't imagine how you feel.

It is just my opinion that pedophilia is even more rampant among men (and to a lesser extent, women) in authority.  Coaches, teachers, priests, ministers, rabbis, in juvenile detention schools, those involved in human trafficking. 

I don't remember hearing much about this while I was growing up. Looking back, I was never allowed to be alone with any man; I was prohibited to sit on a man's lap except my father's.  I remember sitting on my boyfriend's lap at my 8th grade graduation and my father came into the room, blood drained from his face.

I've heard recently that a relative, when serving as a young acolyte in the church to which the other side of the family belonged, was molested repeatedly.  A dark secret to bear in a time where things of this nature was an event to bear in silence.
