Fax them.  Tell them to record your call because you want to stand and be counted.  All electronic correspondence must be on file.  There has to be a record of your "NO, HELL NO!"  Use Twitter and FB and all the other social networks at your disposal.  As if you don't know, we are at war.  We are at war with a golden boy who chose to be a gang member (Rubio), McCain who is now a traitor and not a war hero RINO, who has lost all credibility and trust, and Graham is just pure shameless, worthless and has no backbone. We had so much hope in him.  Stoopid us.  Schumer is fatal to the country, and to our rights, and so, too, are all the others.  We have laws already on the books.  Now this piece of shit bill is over 1000 pages of regulations...it makes a joke out of the rule of law AND THEY ALL NEED TO BE DUMPED IN THE COMING ELECTIONS.  THERE IS NO HONOR AMONG THIEVES.  AND THEY ARE THIEVES.  This bill is grotesque in size and scope, and we are on the ropes. We are immersed in scandals brought on by men like these.

It is one of the "fundamental transformations" Obama promised the electorate in 2008, the battle over whether Congress will pass immigration legislation with a path to citizenship before securing the border. It is scheduled for floor debate in June. Byron York says this of the upcoming showdown: A confrontation is coming between those Republicans who will not accept a deal that is legalization-first and those Democrats who will not accept a deal that isn't. There are a lot of issues that will shape the future of immigration reform, but security first vs. legalization first is the most fundamental one. The bill has already ruined the political career for Marco Rubio outside of Florida. Trying to paint himself as some kind of practical centrist open to bipartisan compromise on the issue, we have since learned that he has always been pro-amnesty. That he would join forces with the most offensive progressives in the Senate (including McCain and Graham) to push the immigration bill on the rest of us, should be seen for what it is. At first I thought Rubio was a stupid novice willing to trade favors for personal political gain, but now I believe what he's doing is a long-held personal agenda.  I'm sure his mentors / donors pushing for amnesty (where-ever they live) are very pleased. Living in Texas and seeing firsthand how many of our cities are unrecognizable as American cities, it is unconscionable to me that any "Republican" would consider passing legislation that does not close the borders first. And unless Affirmative Action is rescinded from the books, the immigration bill practically guarantees skyrocketing unemployment for young white males without a college degree who are already hit hard by the Obama economy.  Today, white middle class males can't get taxpayer grants to attend college because that money is targeted elsewhere -- in Texas it often goes to the children of illegal immigrants.  Middle class white citizens pay twice for college - once for their own sons and daughters, and twice for those whose parents sneaked over the border.  (A benefit provided when Obama took over the student loan industry.)   Although, one hardly has to "sneak" anymore. Adding to this insult to law abiding citizens, California legislators recently introduced legislation strengthening the "rights" of illegal workers in the state: Under Senate Bill 666, employers who retaliate against employee complaints by threatening to report the immigration status of workers or their families could lose their business license and face civil penalties of up to $10,000. President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden met with a group of illegal aliens in the White House on May 21. “As the meeting was wrapping up, the President reiterated his commitment to passing a bipartisan, commonsense immigration reform bill this year,” the White House said. Michael W. Cutler, an immigration enforcement expert with 30 years of experience as an Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) agent, wrote a special report for AIM saying the Senate bill should be known as the “Terrorist Assistance and Facilitation Act” Rupert Murdoch, chairman, CEO & Founder of News Corporation, is one of the co-chairs of the Partnership for a New American Economy, which is working with two other groups, Republicans for Immigration Reform and Barack Obama’s Organizing for Action (OFA). The latter is the Obama campaign apparatus that was turned into a tax-exempt, non-profit organization and claims to be a “social welfare” organization within the meaning of section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. However, Rebekah Metzler of U.S. News & World Report reports that Organizing for Action has not yet filed for tax-exempt status. Conservative groups applying for this status have been targeted for added scrutiny and long delays by the IRS. These three groups are part of “The March for Innovation,” which claims that the “outdated immigration system is costing our economy talent, jobs, and innovation...,” and supports so-called “immigration reform.” Arianna Huffington of The Huffington Post, the largest online news outlet in the U.S., is one of the group’s “partners” in the coalition. With most of the major media lined up in favor of the bill, opponents of the legislation are counting on a fair hearing from Fox News. But ABC News notes that Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch, Australian born and a naturalized U.S. citizen, “has become an outspoken advocate for immigration reform and mass legalization of the country’s undocumented immigrants...” The story went on, “Whether Murdoch’s personal views will percolate through his network, or at least temper criticism on the airwaves of those who don’t share it, remains to be seen.” The opposition to S. 744 includes more than 150 conservative and Tea Party leaders, immigration officer unions, and several Fox News contributors. “The liberals are at it again working to impose amnesty on the American people, just as they tried in 2007,” says conservative leader Phyllis Schlafly, President and Founder of Eagle Forum. “This bill puts responsibility for securing the borders and reforming our immigration system solely into the hands of the Obama Administration, which has made a policy of refusing to secure the borders and enforce immigration law. This is particularly problematic as we are learning more each day about the Administration’s Obamacare failures and abuses, and especially now in light of the shameful scandals involving the IRS and Associated Press. We cannot trust the Obama Administration. This is the wrong bill at the wrong time!” A letter signed by these conservatives claims that the bill: Is bloated and unwieldy along the lines of Obamacare or Dodd-Frank; Cedes excessive control to an administration that has repeatedly proven itself to be untrustworthy—as recent scandals again vividly demonstrate; Legalizes millions of illegal immigrants before securing the borders, thus ensuring future illegal immigration; Rewards law breakers and punishes law enforcement, further undermining the constitutional rule of law—as ICE agents have testified; Hurts American job-seekers, especially those with less education; Threatens to bankrupt our already strained entitlement system; Expands government by creating new bureaucracies, authorizing new spending, and calling for endless regulations; and Contains dangerous loopholes that threaten national security.  Despite Murdoch’s role in promoting the bill, six Fox News contributors signed the letter opposing it. They are:  Monica Crowley, Ph.D., Nationally Syndicated Radio Host Erick Erickson, Editor of RedState Laura Ingraham, Nationally Syndicated Radio Host Michelle Malkin, author of Invasion, and syndicated columnist Sandy Rios, Vice-President Family PAC Federal and Morning Host for AFR Talk Former Rep. Allen West  In a piece headlined, “Fox News Contributors Sign Letter Urging Immigration Reform Defeat,” the George Soros-funded Media Matters group accused these individuals of “unethical behavior” for expressing their opinions.  On the other hand, Fox News and radio host Sean Hannity says his views on immigration have “evolved” and that he now favors a “a pathway” to citizenship for illegal aliens. The National Citizenship and Immigration Services Council, a union of more than 12,000 immigration agents, says it “was not consulted in the crafting of the Gang of Eight’s legislation. Instead, the legislation was written with special interests—producing a bill that makes the current system worse, not better. S. 744 will damage public safety and national security and should be opposed by lawmakers.” Chris Crane, President of the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Council, says, “The legislation before us may have many satisfactory components for powerful lobbying groups and other special interests, but on the subjects of public safety, border security, and interior enforcement, this legislation fails. It is a dramatic step in the wrong direction.” Demonstrating that Fox News continues to cover both sides, at least for a while, Crane has appeared on the Lou Dobbs show on the Fox Business Network. What’s more, FoxNews.com ran a story highlighting criticism of Obama from Senator Jeff Sessions and Rep. Marco Rubio: Corrupted by Washington in Only Two Years It’s hard to believe that Marco Rubio has only been in the Senate since January 2011. With the way he has been going on lately, telling conservatives what a bunch of unenlightened rubes we are for objecting to his immigration reform, you would think he’d been a Senator for 20 years. The once Tea Party favorite, whose chances of being elected President are now on par with Mark Sanford, has been at the forefront of jamming the Democrat’s dream of opening the immigration floodgates through Congress, an effort that shares many the hallmarks of the passage of Obamacare: Put together in the dead of night by Washington insiders with zero transparency. Check. Rushing the bill through the legislative process as fast as humanly possible before the opposition can get their act together. Check. Refusing to accept even the barest hint of cooperation with Republicans who aren’t RINOs. Check. We’ll have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it! Check. Representing everything the Tea Party movement has dedicated itself against Rubio is blazing a trail of lies and deceit that must make Obama proud. Despite Rubio’s assurances that legalization efforts won’t go into effect until after the border is secure, a multitude of analysts have shown this to be a complete falsehood. Once DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano says the border is secure, whether it is or not, the bill goes into effect. Trusting someone who is stocking up on hundreds of millions of rounds of ammo, more than enough to conquer all of Asia Minor, isn’t exactly what most conservatives would call a good bet. Other fun facts that Rubio has neglected to mention during his magical media tour include: The immediate shutdown of the E-verify system. The potential for 33 million newly minted American citizens in only the first 10 years—a “conservative” estimate, the actual total could be much higher. A permanent voting majority for Democrats guaranteed to last a generation. Making it illegal for law enforcement to arrest and deport anyone who “appears eligible” for legalization. Allowing judges the ability to waive what is now mandatory deportation for certainclasses of criminal aliens. Free “Obama phones” for immigrants as they cross the border. A gigantic boon for immigration lawyers as countless appeals, court appearances and so on are granted to illegals before they can be deported. And that’s just what we know so far. With the endless ability for the DHS Secretary togrant exceptions to not only individuals, but entire “classes of aliens” from conforming to the law, things could get much worse. The question conservatives are asking themselves lately is why would Rubio serve as a patsy for this clearly dangerous legislation? The answer is he is corrupt. Corrupted by a Washington culture where the elites think they are smarter than us, that they have the power to tell us what to do and who we have to accept into our communities, regardless of the cost to our society and pocketbooks. Where attending Georgetown cocktail parties attended by only the very best sort makes them better than the common people they lord over. A symptom of a government that is no longer of the people, by the people, for the people, but now only for the elite. As Rich Lowery says in an article in Politico today, Rubio was a huge "get." He was a Republican darling, thought to be conservative. He is of Cuban ancestory with an interesting backstory, handsome, with a pretty family and can out-orate Obama without a teleprompter. Does it get any better than that for a Merry Band of Senate Progressives? Who needs ACORN to organize Democrat voters when you have Senators Marco Rubio, John McCain (R-AZ), Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ)?  If  you merged the photos of the Gang of Eight, you'd get this: No border security before legal status (completely contrary to what Rubio promised - because, he says, we need "to freeze in place" the 11 million already here - no time to wait for border security - call this 'had' by Chuck Schumer): Under the bill, no additional enforcement has to take place before undocumented immigrants get legalized. The secretary of the Department of Homeland Security merely has to come up with a strategy for enforcement and notify Congress that it has commenced. It doesn’t matter if it is a good, bad or indifferent plan, so long as it is a plan. Then, an estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants get legal status... Schumer’s genius is to have placated Rubio not just with promises, but with new versions of old promises. Rubio touts the bill’s mandate for the creation of an exit-entry tracking system, a key piece of the puzzle of controlling who comes here. Congress first mandated the creation of such a system in 1996. Rich Lowry writing for Politico Five years, only, until the bill passes and "legal status," not citizenship, allows a pathway to the voter booth for an  estimated 2 million to 3 million of the 11 million illegals, so considering history, those numbers will be much larger. The Schumer-Rubio bill, however, creates an expedited citizenship process for millions of illegal immigrants. These immigrants are eligible for citizenship in just 5 years... The Schumer-Rubio bill incorporates provisions of the proposed DREAM Act. The provisions apply to individuals who, as children, were brought into the country illegally by their parents. An individual brought into the US when they were 16 or younger and has completed high school and two years towards a bachelor degree or served 4 years in the military can change their status and apply for permanent legal residency (green card) after just 5 years. Other illegal immigrants have to wait 10 years. Under the legislation, however, DREAM immigrants can immediately apply for citizenship once the have permanent legal status. Currently, immigrants with green cards have to wait 5 years to apply for citizenship. The Schumer-Rubio legislation, however, counts the time the immigrant held an RPI visa and allows an immediate petition for citizenship. Other immigrants, once they have their green card, would have to wait three years before they could apply to become citizens. According to a Senate office involved in the deliberations, 2-3 million immigrants would be eligible for the expedited citizenship path. In addition, these immigrants could also immediately apply for their spouses or children to be put on a path to citizenship, adding hundreds of thousands more citizens. Of course, as citizens, these millions of new citizens are eligible to vote. Republicans may ease their minds thinking they have 13 years to broaden their outreach to Hispanics. Many of the people who want an immigration solution frankly could care less about Hispanic voters. They see this as an issue the GOP has to get right on and they will do whatever it takes to get right on the issue. They are playing political games. Seeing self-styled conservatives and libertarians trying to pass any legislation that is labeled “comprehensive” should always be a red flag. I have seen friends paint others as racists, as sympathizers to abortion advocates, and as haters all to try to steam roll through their preferred policy solution. I have seen good conservative organizations attacked and lumped in with fringe groups. I have seen mainstream groups characterized as fringe. AWD made a BIG mistake by supporting Marco Rubio in 2010. I know, I know, he was running against tri-sexual Charlie Crist. But at least we knew Charlie Crist is a two-faced, tri-sexual (he’ll try anything sexual) scumbag. It’s come out over the past few years that Marco Rubio talks the conservative talk but is nothing more than the latest wussypants RINO Republican.

AWD attended the Hispanic Leadership Network last year in Miami. Newt and Mitt were pandering for the Hispanic conservative vote. Marco Rubio also spoke. While his speech was polished and professional, AWD’s spidey-sense was tingling that Marco Rubio is Hispanic first, American somewhere down the line. It was easy to see Marco Rubio stood for illegals in America and not the rule of law nor the American taxpayer.

It was no surprise for AWD to see Rubio join the Gang of Eight traitors. Any conservative would walk…nay sprint…away from any “gang” whose membership included John McPain and Lindsey “Fredo” Graham. Jeff Flake has the appropriate last name. The fact that Charles Schumer infects the gang is prima facie evidence a true conservative should oppose the Gang of Eight like Janeane Garofalo opposes soap!

It also wasn’t a surprise to see Marco Rubio’s spokesperson Alex Conant tweet the following today:

Slavery? Free welfare, foodstamps, education, medication and incarceration of illegals and the Rubio camp equates illegals with slaves? Alex feels the same as his boss. Once again, this illustrates the problem AWD has with too many minorities in America. They are black, Hispanic, Asian, etc long before they are American.

So-called “immigration reform” or as it should be known “amnesty” is the death knell for America. Hispanics vote overwhelmingly for Democrats in every state in America. They will continue to do so.

I can understand John McCain and his boy wonder Fredo Graham voting for amnesty. After all, they’re Democrats. Flake? Just another Arizona RINO trying to get on TV alongside his mentor McCain. Rubio? Being a member of the Gang of Eight says it all. He isn’t a conservative and he isn’t one of us. Just another smooth-talking con man trying to weasel his ass into higher office or cement himself in the Senate by making friends with Dims by selling out Americans.

Want to reform immigration? Here’s AWD’s plan:

• Immediately shut the border so a fly cannot cross.
• Citizenship will never, ever be granted anyone who entered America illegally.
• No social programs, welfare, food stamps, education, free medication will ever be made available to guest worker
• The 14th Amendment will not create “anchor babies” to offspring of illegal immigrants
• Create a worker visa that every illegal alien must possess if they work here.  There must be a thorough criminal check and the illegal alien must show the visa to every law enforcement officer who asks to see it.  Failure to produce the worker visa will result in immediate deportation and lost worker visa privileges forever
• Any crime committed by illegal alien with a worker visa will result in immediate deportation
• Employers found employing illegal aliens without worker visas will face extreme fines on the first offense.  Imprisonment and loss of business on the second.
• All immigration of Muslims or citizens of Muslim countries will be immediately halted and any citizen of a Muslim country on a student or tourist visa will be immediately deported.

Illegal aliens are too integrated into American society to simply deport them all. Apartment complexes, retail stores and other commerce would go bankrupt if massive deportation took place. My plan allows them to work and produce in America but not enjoy any of the benefits of legal citizens.

The advantages of illegal immigration need to be removed from the equation. Illegal aliens must never be rewarded with amnesty or the myriad of welfare programs politicians so eagerly hand to them. The playing field must be leveled for the American worker. Employers must no longer be able to pay illegal aliens under the table on a cash basis to keep from paying employer taxes. And America must know who resides in our country.

This is a common-sense plan to solve the immigration problem. Something so common-sense no one in Washington could ever dream up. Of course, they all have an agenda. And that agenda doesn’t include what’s best for America or the American taxpayer.

That any Republican would support an immigration reform that ended in amnesty for millions and allows them to bring their entire families to America isn’t just stupid. It’s existential suicide for America! If I wanted to live in Mexico, I’d live in Mexico! If immigration reform passes, I will very soon!

Marco Rubio has shown his true stripes. Just another con man dressed in conservative clothing. A Cuban Karl Rove. Make him pay.

3. I think the Boston bombings are going to derail any serious immigration talk – which is a good thing until we can get more true conservatives in all three branches.

You also missed one on your list – seal the border. Personally, I’m in favor of a fence. Seal the border and starting letting immigrants in the right way, and for the right reasons. If the current illegals need to live in the shadows for a few more years, so be it. This one can be won by attrition.

• In Arizona they can walk across 50 people wide in spots, many spots and since many are mules they are watched over with snipers with Barrett BMG .50, many were bought in Fast and Furious. Snipers have almost 360 degree visibility for a couple miles and can disable any vehicle approaching. These are Mexican Snipers with good hiding places, trained by us before they joined the Cartels. We need American Blackhawks to counter them. There are some Civilian Counter Snipers working the areas with .50s also but can’t stay for ever without good intell when loads are coming through. The Border is a mess.

• My wife and I sat with Rubio and his wife in 2004 at a fund raiser in my county in FL. His manner to me then was a slick lawyer who worded everything he said very carefully. I don’t trust people like that at all!! Say what you mean and mean what you say! Even with that, I gave him the benefit of the doubt until last year when he supported funding of Egypt.

When Rush interviewed him he said we needed new laws because the current ones are not being enforced – and Rush didn’t not ask him the obvious follow up – “What makes you think they’ll enforce the new ones?”

He also said that many illegals are people that overstayed their visas. Again Rush failed to ask him the obvious question – there are already laws that make it illegal to overstay your visa, why not enforce them?

That was a really disappointing interview by Rush.

7. Whether we like it or not, it’s coming down to whites doing things solely in the interests of their own race – just as other races and ethnicities do. We must stop looking to conservative blacks or RINO Hispanics to represent us as whites. They won’t, and they never will.

The way things are working out socially and politically in America, whites are, in effect, being forced to represent themselves and their own racial interests. We are being marginalized, despised and the powers that be are making a conscious effort to replace whites with hordes of third-world immigrants.

10. Last year I posted a letter I received from Rubio concerning continued funding for Egypt, Libya and Syria. He basically said it was a good policy to continue to fund these despicable regimes. THAT was when he lost me! This new crap doesn’t surprise me a bit.

11. I agree with all your bullet points, AWD. BUT I cannot agree with your paragraph beginning with “Illegal aliens are too integrated into American society to simply deport them all.” They do not need to be deported en masse; all that’s needed is to enforce current law to the point where they would be unable to work, rent apartments, receive any benefits, drive, have their children be considered American citizens, etc. After a period of time, they would come to realize life here isn’t so great and they would self-deport. Make it uncomfortable for them; they should fear being caught breaking our laws. In my opinion, allowing them to stay and work in any capacity after breaking a myriad of laws is “amnesty.” And anyone who has benefited by hiring illegals, renting to them or having a business model that caters to illegals deserves to lose their businesses or property. I don’t want illegals to remain in this country in any capacity. Getting “in line” means going back to one’s home country and applying right after the person ahead of you has filed his/her paperwork to enter legally. Why should these lawbreakers have such a distinct advantage over those who are patiently waiting to enter legally?

Thats all its about…votes. I am against worker visa’s because these bastards already take too many jobs out of the hands of American, we dont need to make the unemployment problem worse. 14. I would, at the least, add one more requirement for a work visa. A medical exam *before* entering the country. Legals need it, I believe, or should. Ellis island turned many people back on this basis. Who knows what diseases these opportunity seekers are introducing, or re-introducing, to the USA. And, although I can’t figure out a logical reason for the kumbayah crowd to object, I’m sure they will.
