Thanks for being a part of the team for Free Our Health Care Now! In one month, over 370,000 people have signed saying no, to government health care!

We truly are in the battle of our lives! Here are the facts on the new 1,018 page bill just released this afternoon. Unfortunately, it has all the bad ideas from previous versions, and more! For instance, there are new federal regulations on the rental of power-driven wheelchairs; new government rules on how providers are supposed to treat patients with dementia; and new regulations on smoking cessation, and everything in between.

In addition to the 1,000 pages of new federal regulations on health care, there are multiple taxes including in the bill because the government will need to raise more than $1 trillion to pay for these new regulations.

The bill creates a new government-run health plan that will undercut the private market pushing as many as 119 million people out of their private health insurance and be forced into a Medicaid-like plan. Employers will be pressed to drop their insurance benefits and send their employees over to the new government plan. This provision doesn’t apply to Members of Congress, who will be able to keep their health plan.

The bill will also create a new federal health board, a group of government bureaucrats that will decide whether your health care is effective or not, which could endanger your ability to receive the health care you need.

To pay for the new federal health board, there will be a new “fair share” tax imposed on everyone’s health insurance to raise $375 million needed for the new bureaucracy. The government has not yet decided what your portion will be.

As I previously wrote to you, there will be a new “tax on individuals without acceptable health care coverage.” In other words, if your health insurance isn’t government-approved you will be taxed.

This morning I awoke to the radio. Burnie Thompson, local Panama City, FL talk radio host was railing against the Pill Mill Bill. It is punishing. It is Orwellian.
It is unconstitutional. He is beyond upset, and so am I. I am outraged!

If you are a registered voter in Florida, or if you are a registered voter from Florida in another country, this concerns you, your family, friends, loved ones, directly.

You need to know about the Pill Mill Bill. It will affect your health care in a most outrageous, egregious, draconian way. Your private medical records will be in a government data base; your physician will be scrutinized for criminal activity and so will you regarding pain medications or medications that may be questionable vis' a vis' illegal drugs.

Gov. Charles Crist (R), Rep. Marti Colley (R), Senator Don Gaetz (R), Sheriff of Bay County Frank McKeithen (R), and Rep. Jimmy Patronis (R) are in favor of this.

This means to you that if you are the victim of intractable pain, or are taking prescription drugs that the "GOVERNMENT" FINDS SUSPECT, YOU MAY HAVE YOUR MEDICATIONS DENIED OR END UP IN JAIL AND YOUR PHYSICIAN AS WELL.

THOSE OF US WHO ARE UNDER A PHYSICIAN'S CARE NEED TO CALL, EMAIL, FAX OR WRITE A LETTER TO YOUR GOVERNOR, YOUR SHERIFF (THEY WILL HAVE MANDATED ACCESS TO YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS), YOUR REPRESENTATIVES, STATE AND FEDERAL, YOUR SENATORS. THEY MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO SUPPORT THIS BILL.

IF YOU HAVE TO SHOW UP AT THEIR OFFICES, THEN TAKE YOUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY WITH YOU.

THIS HAS HIDEOUS IMPLICATIONS FOR OUR WELL BEING, OUR LIBERTY AND OUR PRIVACY.

COUPLE THIS WITH YOUR LAW ENFORCEMENT'S FEDERALIZATION (LYNN HAVEN, FL PD ALREADY HAS MACHINE GUNS IN THEIR CARS TO ENFORCE TRAFFIC STOPS COMPLIMENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE) AND YOU HAVE A RECIPE FOR GREAT ENDANGERMENT. MACHINE GUNS ARE WEAPONS OF WAR AND HAVE ONLY ONE PURPOSE: TO KILL A LOT OF PEOPLE IN A MATTER OF SECONDS.

ELSEWHERE IN THIS BLOG IS THE STORY OF MY FATHER WHO WAS DYING OF CANCER, YET HIS PHYSICIAN WOULD ONLY ALLOW A PRESCRIPTION FOR TYLENOL 3. This occurred in the 1980s, a result of The War on Drugs!

THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. IT IS AN ATTACK ON OUR PHYSICIANS, OUR HEALTH, OUR RIGHT TO HUMANE TREATMENT, THE RIGHT TO BE RELEASED FROM PAIN. IMAGINE WATCHING A LOVED ONE SUFFERING WITH INTRACTABLE PAIN AND YOUR HANDS ARE TIED. THERE WILL NOT BE RELIEF COMING NO MATTER WHAT PHYSICIAN YOU GO TO. YOUR PHYSICIAN WILL FEAR LOSING HIS OR HER LICENSE IF THEY DARE TO DO THE RIGHT THING VERSUS THE MANDATED ALLOWABLE GOVERNMENT RULES.

These politicians are actively lobbying for this bill to be passed!

I'M SURE THAT FLORIDA IS NOT ALONE AND THAT IN YOUR STATE, SIMILAR LEGISLATION IS WAITING IN THE WINGS. IT IS TIME YOU CONTACTED YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS AND BEGIN TO FIGHT THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. IT OPENS THE DOOR FOR LEGAL EUTHANASIA AND DANGEROUS CONFLICT.
