The Innocence Project - Conviction is more important than the request for DNA testing of Osborne!
For 35 years, hospitals have been taking DNA blood samples on newborns. Burnie Thompson, who is a popular talk radio host on WYOO here in the panhandle of Florida, sharply criticized the supporters and Governor Crist who signed legislation to expand the forceful collection of all prisoners charged with felonies...guilty or not.
I agree.
And then you have this. The story of William Osborne, client of The Innocence Project charged with rape. For years he has been requesting DNA testing for a rape he said he didn't commit. The Supreme Court...THE SUPREME COURT!...HAS RULED THAT THE CONVICTION IS MORE IMPORTANT FOR THIS CRIME THAN THE TRUTH, AND WILL NOT ALLOW DNA TESTING.
This is not a slippery slope. This is cause for the entire Supreme Court to be removed from their appointments.
Osborne resides in Alaska.
He needs your support. Next time it could be you, your family, your friends on death row with nothing but a DNA sample standing between you and execution.
This is a heads up. Our Supreme Court needs to revisit this and allow Osborne the testing to discover the truth.

Boston Globe - McCain attacks Obama on redistribution
McCain attacks Obama on redistribution
John McCain yesterday sought to use a seven-year-old radio interview to buttress his argument that Democrat Barack Obama wants to redistribute wealth.

The interview - first reported by the Drudge Report and highlighted by conservative bloggers and websites - was with a Chicago radio station on Sept. 6, 2001, while Obama was an Illinois state senator and a law school lecturer.
Obama, talking about the civil rights movement and Supreme Court, says: "I think where it succeeded was to invest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples so that I would now have the right to vote, I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order [and] as long as I could pay for it I would be OK. But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society."
Calling it one of the "tragedies" of the movement, he added that there was "a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change and in some ways we still suffer from that."
The sentiment isn't all that different from those of civil rights leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr., who after the voting rights triumphs moved toward greater emphasis on poverty and economic justice.
But at a rally in Dayton, Ohio, McCain mentioned the interview, saying that "it is amazing that even at this late hour, we are still learning more about Senator Obama and his agenda."
"That is what change means for Barack the redistributor," the Republican said. "It means taking your money and giving it to someone else. He believes in redistributing wealth, not in policies that grow our economy and create jobs."
Obama spokesman Bill Burton dismissed the interview as "a fake news controversy drummed up by the all too common alliance of Fox News, the Drudge Report, and John McCain, who apparently decided to close out his campaign with the same false, desperate attacks that have failed for months."
"Obama did not say that the courts should get into the business of redistributing wealth at all," Burton said in a statement.
The Obama campaign also referred to comments made by Cass Sunstein, a Harvard law professor who is advising Obama, to the Politico website. Sunstein said Obama was discussing redistribution in a narrow legal context of whether the Supreme Court would create rights to education and welfare, and was actually taking the conservative position that those rights should be won through legislative action and not the courts.

Sandra Schultz Newman said she regrets that she did not review the final draft more carefully before it was released.
The e-mail sent Thursday to 75,000 Jewish voters in Pennsylvania warns of the danger of a second Holocaust because of the threats to Israel from its neighbors.
Republicans quickly disavowed the e-mail and fired the campaign consultant who helped draft it.

Looks like the Supreme Court Did Something Right!
So, today they get a rose!
The amicus brief link is here, too.
For goodness' sake, please teach the importance of the founding documents to your children in case your schools do not.
Quiz them. Ask your neighbors if they know them or are familiar with the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Teach them. If you have taken your freedoms for granted, then you need to learn them. Make it a family affair!

Ever hear of the Delphi Technique?

It's based on the Hegelian Theory, which is used to manipulate societies and essentially, it is used to divide and conquer small groups of people by a brainwashing method so subtle, the group doesn't see it coming, but the individual who is intimidated, ridiculed and eventually banished from the group, bears the brunt of the punishment.
Say you want to question an expert. It's a pointed question - let's say you're at a meeting on whether or not to put fluoride in the town's drinking water. You're with a group standing staunchly against it. You know the dangers. You don't want it for yourselves, your family, your neighbors, yet your city or county commission says it's absolutely a necessity for health reasons.
You ask the question. It never gets answered. You are left squirming with unanswered questions, and when the others in your group try to ask their questions, the same thing happens. At recess, your group goes into a huddle. What happened?
You and your group sit quietly while the meeting continues, and in the end, you have been ridiculed until you feel whipped. The rest of the people in attendance consider you fools.
Delphi is most effective when the facilitator has been trained in the technique. It could be used in many ways to divide and conquer - a PTA group, a small town, a city, a county, a state, a safety issue (maybe like gun control). I see this used in the farcical presidential debates. Once you read about it you will recognize it.
This is a citizen-essential tool. Know how you are manipulated, and how to fight back. You can Google it up yourself, or use these two links. The first explains it; the second, how to disrupt it. It's almost like "Don't get mad, get even."
Once you read this, you'll slap your forehead for being asleep. But then, I never heard of it before today.
And incidentally, the Supreme Court will be ruling on YOUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS. THEY ARE HEARING A CASE NOW, AND GUN OWNERS OF AMERICA HAS THE TRANSCRIPTS ON ITS HOME PAGE. YOU NEED TO READ IT AND CONSIDER WHAT AN ANTI-SECOND AMENDMENT DECISION WILL MEAN TO YOU, YOUR FREEDOM, YOUR LIFE AND YOUR CONSTITUTION.
THE TOLL FREE NUMBERS TO CONGRESS ARE 1-871-851-6437 AND 1-866-340-9281.
