THE OLD REPUBLIC AND OBAMA'S AMERICA
"Second Term Begins With a
Sweeping Agenda for Equality," ran the eight-column banner in which The
Washington Post captured the essence of Obama's second inaugural. There
he declared:
"What binds this nation together ... what makes us exceptional --
what makes us American -- is our allegiance to an idea, articulated in a
declaration made more than two centuries ago."
Obama then quoted our Declaration of Independence:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created
equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable
rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of
Happiness."
Our "union," Obama went on, was "founded on the principles of liberty and equality."
Nice prose -- and transparent nonsense.
How could the American Union have been founded on the principle of
equality, when "equality" is not mentioned in the Constitution, the Bill
of Rights or the Federalist papers? How could equality be a founding
principle of a nation, six of whose 13 original states had legalized
slavery, and five of whose first seven presidents owned slaves all their
lives?
What Obama preached in his inaugural was not historical truth but
progressive propaganda, an Orwellian rewrite of American history.
Undeniably, the post-Civil War 13th, 14th and 15th amendments
established an equality of constitutional rights. And from the Brown
decision of 1954 through the civil rights acts of the 1960s, there was
established an equality of civil rights. Black Americans were assured
equal access to schools, public accommodations, the voting booth and
housing. And Congress and the people overwhelmingly supported those
laws.
But if the nation did not establish equality of constitutional
rights until the 1860s and equality of civil rights until the 1960s, how
can Obama claim that "equality" has been the feature that "makes us
American" and "binds this nation together."
How can he say that our commitment to equality is what makes us
"exceptional" -- when every Western country believes in equal rights for
all of its citizens, and it was the French Revolution, not ours, that
elevated "egalite" to a founding principle.
And when he says equality "is the star that guides us still," exactly what kind of equality is Obama talking about?
Answer: The equality of which Obama speaks is not an equality of
rights but an equality of results, an idea that dates not to the
Founding Fathers, who would have been appalled by the idea, but to the
1960s.
This equality is not a founding principle of the republic. It is
ideological contraband. For such equality can only be achieved at the
price of freedom, our true founding principle.
That idea that "all of us are created equal -- is the star that
guides us still," said Obama in his inaugural, "just as it guided our
forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall."
Astonishing. The president is here making the brazen claim that the
roots of modern feminism and gay rights can be traced straight back to
the Founding Fathers and founding principles of our republic.
But how? The sanctum sanctorum of modern feminism is Roe v. Wade,
the discovery of a constitutional right to an abortion. Yet, for every
generation of Americans before 1973, abortion was a heinous crime.
And can anyone seriously argue that a barroom brawl with cops by
homosexual patrons of Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village in 1969 was but
another battle in the long war for liberty begun at Lexington, Concord
and Bunker Hill?
How could that be, when the author of the declaration Obama cites,
Thomas Jefferson, believed homosexuality should be treated as rape, and
George Washington ordered homosexuals drummed out of his army?
What Obama was attempting at the Capitol, with his repeated lifts
from Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln, was to portray his own and his
party's egalitarianism as a continuation of the great cause that
triumphed at Yorktown and Appomattox.
He is hijacking the American Revolution, claiming an ancestral lineage for his ideology that is utterly fraudulent and bogus.
Feminism, the gay rights movement and the post-1965 civil rights
movement, with their demand for equality not simply of rights but of
rewards, cannot be achieved without trampling on the freedoms for which
the patriot fathers fought. And they cannot triumph without creating a
permanent, mammoth and redistributionist state more powerful, intrusive
and dictatorial than anything George III ever dreamed of.
The freedom of all Americans to compete academically, athletically,
artistically and economically must inevitably result in an inequality
of incomes, wealth and rewards.
Why? Because all men and women are by nature and nurture unequal.
Some are talented, ambitious, industrious, lucky. And in a free society,
such men and women will always reap a disproportionate share of fame
and fortune.
The only way to equalize rewards is to take from those who have
earned and give to those who have not. And that requires the kind of
redistributionst regime the Founding Fathers would have risen up
against.
As Obama's America rises, the old republic falls.

Occupy Wall Street is an un-American movement generated by an un-American depiction of our country. In 2008, the leaders of the Democratic Party painted the United States as a “decaying, racist, capitalist realm,” unable to provide medical care for the poor, to rebuild her “crumbling schools,” or to replace the “shuttered mills that once provided a decent life for men and women of every race.”
A young generation of Americans, who had never been taught real history in school, became galvanized by the Democratic Party’s pledge to “change” that rotting America. Some eighty thousand of them gathered in front of the now famous pseudo-Greek temple resembling the White House that had been erected in Denver, shouting for “hope and change.”
Of course, people everywhere want their political leaders to be better than their predecessors. But “change” is also the quintessence of Marxism, which is built on the dialectical materialist tenet that quantitative changes generate qualitative transformations.
In my other life, when I was national security adviser to Communist Romania’s President Nicolae Ceausescu, I wrote the lyrics of his ode to “change.” Ceausescu pretended that his predecessor had devastated the country, and he pledged to change that change. In those days I heard that ode to change a thousand times, and today I am stunned by its similarity with the Democratic Party’s “change.”
“Change” is now the slogan of the Occupy Wall Street movement as well. Capitalism is evil, and it should be changed. “Rediscover other ways of relating to each other and the world around us.” “Tax the rich! Redistribute their wealth.” “Occupy. Block. Strike. Take over!” “Change! Cuba is the future.” “Long live Che!” These are just a few of the slogans and signs dominating the Occupy Wall Street encampments.
Today it is not politically correct even to whisper the word Marxism. Nevertheless, there is a real and organic connection between Marxism, the Democratic Party’s “Change,” and the Occupy Wall Street movement’s calls for abolishing (American) capitalism. In his Manifesto, Marx portrays “America” as a “racist capitalist country” that generated “despotism and exploitation,” and he urges his followers to “eradicate [American] capitalism” by wresting “by degrees, all capital from the bourgeoisie.” Marx advocates ten “despotic inroads on the rights of property,” which became known as the Ten Planks of Communism. The first is the “abolition of property.” The next two are a “heavy progressive or graduated income tax,” and the “abolition of all rights of inheritance.”
The United States spent too many years fighting Marxism, and its free population of independent entrepreneurs will never succumb to that heresy. Be that as it may, Marx’s Manifesto of the Communist Party has endured to turn 162 years old this year, and the remaining Marxists of the world seem to be clamoring to see their fantasy finally come to pass: the eradication of American capitalism.
On October 6, 2011, in a broadcast in English, the Cuban radio station that calls itself “A Friendly Voice Around the World” announced that the Workers World Party (WWP) had decided to join the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations “against the capitalist system and in favor of a socialist future.” Radio Havana also reported that a WWP conference to be held on October 8 and 9 in the Bronx in New York City would debate, “from a Marxist perspective,” America’s current economic crisis and its “fight against racism and imperialist wars.”
On October 10, people carrying Workers World Party signs calling for the “Destruction of Capitalism” joined the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators. “Behead bankers and the rich who won’t give up wealth,” a demonstrator stated. “Immediate across-the board debt forgiveness for all,” others demand. They also want a guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment, along with a minimum wage of twenty dollars per hour — for now.
The WWP is a Marxist party that was financed by the Soviet KGB during the days when I was at the top of its community. The KGB created the WWP in 1957, with the initial task of helping the Kremlin to generate a favorable impression of the 1956 Soviet invasion of Hungary among the trade unions and the “colored” population of the United States. In 1959, the WWP got its own newspaper, Workers World, edited by the KGB’s disinformation department and at one time printed in Romania. To camouflage Moscow’s hand, the early issues showed both Lenin and Trotsky holding up a banner saying, “Colored and White Unite and Fight for a WORKERS WORLD.”
The WWP website now states: “We’re independent Marxists” whose “goal is solidarity of all the workers and oppressed against this criminal imperialist system.”
Currently, the WWP has a national office in New York and 18 regional headquarters across the United States, the addresses of which are posted on the internet. Now the WWP represents itself as a “national Marxist-Leninist party promoting socialism, supporting working class struggles and lesbian/gay/bi/trans liberation, organizing protests, and denouncing racism and sexism.”
On October 11, the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) held a national teleconference to discuss the “Occupy” movements, and also to endorse them: “The movement reflects a new level of class-consciousness.” According to its communiqué, the CPUSA and Young Communist League (YCL) began “working in ‘Occupy Los Angeles.’”
“The bourgeoisie won’t go without violent means,” a CPUSA speaker shouted at an Occupy Los Angeles demonstration. “No, my friend. I’ll give you two examples: French Revolution and Indian so-called Revolution. … India, the result of Gandhi, is 600 million people living in maximum poverty. … Gandhi today is a tumor that the ruling class is using constantly to mislead us. French Revolution made fundamental revolutions. But it was bloody. … Long live Revolution! Long live socialism!”
Marxist President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, still recovering from surgery, recently addressed the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators via Venezuela state TV. “This movement of popular outrage” is growing because “poverty’s growing, the misery is getting worse,” he said, referring to the causes of the U.S. protests. In response, crowds at the New York Occupy Wall Street encampments erupted in cheers of joy, raising a giant hammer and sickle in sign of victory. Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, speaking on state TV, predicted that the Occupy Wall Street movement would ultimately grow “so that it will bring down the capitalist system.”
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi seems to agree. “God bless them,” she said about the Occupy Wall Street movement. “It’s young, it’s spontaneous, it’s focused and it’s going to be effective.” Representative Barney Frank, minority leader of the House’s Financial Services Committee, welcomed “the Wall Street energy,” and expressed hope that it would be “translated into political activity.” AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka congratulated the Occupy Wall Street protestors in New York, bringing them bagels and water. The Service Employees International Union and the Transport Workers Union joined the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations as well.
Former White House “green jobs” czar, Van Jones, who resigned after it was revealed that he belonged to the U.S. Communist Party, also announced his support for Occupy Wall Street, which he believes is the start of an “American Autumn.”
Vice President Biden also endorsed the chaotic Occupy Wall Street demonstrations: “The core is the American people do not think the system is fair.” Even the U.S. president stated that the protesters “express the frustration of the American people.”
I paid with two death sentences — from my native Romania — for the privilege of becoming a citizen of this unique land of opportunity, and I am incredibly proud to be an American.
On that fateful day of July 28, 1978, when the U.S. military airplane that brought me to freedom landed at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington, D.C., I was exactly three months short of the round age of fifty, and I more than ever regretted that I had kept postponing that step for so many years. The joy of finally becoming part of this magnanimous country was surpassed only by the joy of simply being alive.
On November 9, 1989, when I watched on television as the Berlin Wall was being torn down, my eyes were full of tears. The whole world was expressing its gratitude to the United States for her 45 years of successful efforts to keep freedom, democracy, and law-abiding liberty alive in most of the world.
Is my adoptive country perfect? Of course not. Since 1792, however, elections have been the American way of correcting the past and improving the future. Fortunately, we still have free elections. Last November, an overwhelming majority of Americans expressed their disgust with some of the members of the Congress who wanted to “change” America, and they voted them out of office.
Let’s hope that in November 2012 the voters will restore American exceptionalism. For that to happen, let’s also hope that the candidates running for the White House will stop fighting with each other, and will start focusing on how they want to cure the country’s current economic and political ills.

In Germany , when Hitler came to power, it was a time of terrible financial
depression. Money was worth nothing. People lost homes and jobs, just like
in the American Depression in the 1 930s, which we have read about in Thoene
s Shiloh books. In those days, in my homeland, Adolph Hitler was elected to
power by promising "CHANGE." He blamed the "Zionists" around the world for
all our problems. He told everyone it was greedy Zionist Bankers who had
caused every problem we had. He promised that when he was our leader, the
greedy Zionist bankers would be punished. The Zionists, he promised, would
be wiped off the face of the earth. So Hitler was elected to power. A
coalition of political parties in parliament made him supreme leader. Then,
once he was leader, he disgraced and expelled everyone in parliament who did
not go along with him.
Yes, CHANGE came to my homeland as the new leader promised it would. The
teachers in German schools began to teach the children to sing songs in
praise of Hitler. This was the beginning of the Hitler Youth movement. It
began with praise of the Fuhrer's programs on the lips of innocent children.
Little girls and boys joined hands and sang these songs as they walked home
from school. My brother came home and told Papa what was happening at
school. The political hymns of children proclaimed CHANGE was coming to our
homeland and the Fuhrer was a leader we could trust.
I will never forget my father's face. Grief and fear. He knew that the
best propaganda of the Nazis was on the lips of little children. That
evening before he said grace at the dinner table, he placed his hands upon
the heads of my brothers and me and prayed the Living Word upon us from
Jeremiah 1 :4-5: "Now the Word of the Lord came to me, saying, 'Before I
formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated
you; I appointed you a prophet to The nations.'"
Soon the children's songs praising the Fuhrer were heard everywhere on the
streets and over the radio. "With our Fuhrer to lead us, WE CAN DO IT! We
can CHANGE the world!" Soon after that Papa, a pastor, was turned away from
visiting elderly parishioners in hospitals. The people he had come to
comfort with God's Word were no longer there. Where had they vanished to
while under nationalized health care? It became an open secret. The
elderly and sick began to disappear from hospitals feet first, as "mercy
killing" became the policy. Children with disabilities and those who had
Downs syndrome were euthanized. People whispered, "Maybe it is better for
them now. Put them out of their misery.. They are no longer suffering.
And, of course, their death is better for the treasury of our nation. Our
taxes no longer must be spent to care for such a burden." And so murder was
called "mercy killing."
The government took over private business. Industry and health care were
nationalized." (NA-ZI means National Socialist Party.) The businesses of
all Jews were seized. Surely you remember our story in Berlin on
Krystalnacht.. The world and God's word were turned upside down. Hitler
promised the people economic CHANGE. It was, rather, Lucifer's very ancient
delusion leading to destruction.
What began with the propaganda of children singing a catchy tune ended in
the deaths of millions of children. The reality of what came upon us is so
horrible that you in this present generation cannot imagine it. Our
suffering is too great to ever tell in a book or show in a newsreel. When I
spoke to my friend about some of these things, she wept and said she could
not bear to write them. Perhaps one day she will, but I asked her, "Who
could bear to read our suffering?" Yet with my last breaths I warn every
Christian and Jew today in the name of the Lord, unless your course of the
church in America is spiritually changed now, returning to the Lord, there
are new horrors yet to come.
I trembled when I heard the voices of American children raised in song,
praising the name of Obama, the charismatic fellow who claims he is the
American Messiah." Yet I have heard what this man Obama says about abortion
and the "mercy killing" of tiny babies who are not wanted. There are so few
of us left to warn you. I have heard that there are 69 million Catholics in
America and 70 million Evangelical Christians. Where are your voices?
Where is your outrage? Where is your passion and your vote? Do you vote
based on an abortionist's empty promises and economics? Or do you vote
according to the Bible? Thus says the Lord about every living child still
in the womb: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you
were born I consecrated you."
I have experienced the signs of the politics of Death in my youth. I see
them again now. Christians! Unless you stand up now, you will lose your
freedom of religion. In America priests and preachers have already lost
their freedom to speak openly from their pulpits. We see danger in
politicians. They cannot legally instruct you of which politician holds
fast to the precepts of scripture. American law forbids this freedom of
speech to conservative pastors. They may lose their tax exempt status. And
yet I have heard the words of Obama's pastor damning America !
I have heard the words of Obama damning and mocking all of you in small
towns, because you "cling to your religion." But I am a woman whose name is
unknown. My life is recorded as a work of fiction. I have no fear of
reprisal when I speak truth to you from the pages of a book. I am an old
woman and will soon go to be with my Lord. I have no fear for myself, but
for all of you and for your children, I tremble. I tremble at the hymns to
a political leader which your children will sing at school. (Though even
now a hymn or a prayer to God and our Lord Jesus is against the law in
public school!)
I pray that you will personally heed this warning for the sake of your
children and your grandchildren.
Do not be deceived.
