Turning NYC into a giant toilet bothers me a lot - a fecal nightmare.
I remember a garbage strike in the 60s when I lived in Greenwich Village. The garbage was piled from the basement to the first floor in front of my brownstone, and it didn't smell like a rose garden, believe me.
Yuck.
