Toll free to Congress - to defund TSA - 1-877-851-6437.
This has to stop, because we will get as much tyranny as we allow. It's up to us to stop it.
WE ARE BEING CONDITIONED TO THINGS MUCH WORSE BY THE TSA.
DEFUND IT!
I WOULD NOT COME AND SPEND MY TOURIST DOLLARS HERE UNTIL YOU ARE GUARANTEED THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN TO YOU FROM THE SHERIFFS IN BAY, OKALOOSA, SANTA ROSA COUNTIES AND ELSEWHERE THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF FLORIDA. AND I LIVE HERE.
THE NEXT TIME IT COULD BE YOU.
Here's what my friend Merlin had to say about this:
In the 10 years since 9/11, we have been increasingly impeded and scrutinized
by the government "for our own good." Searches and detentions
without cause or warrant are now commonplace, the Fourth
Amendment be damned, or rather, ignored. Federal agents
can now enter and search your home or business while you're away, gather evidence
against you and then not even tell you they were there. You can be stopped and searched
not only at airports, but at bus, subway and train stations. Your phone
and email can be tapped without asking a judge for permission, and without
probable cause.
What part of the Fourth Amendment of the Bill of Rights doesn't the government understand?
It certainly seems straightforward enough:
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
If, as our Founders believed, our rights come from our natural Creator, and they come not from our government, and they are inalienable; then ask yourself, how can this be ?
And if the government can 'erase' a right, such as the Fourth Amendment, whether good for our safety or not, and without the mandated benefit of a Constitutional Amendment rescinding it, how can we consider any other 'right' to be secure? For example, if you're concerned the government is monitoring your emails, including this one, is your freedom of speech under assault? You bet. In a number of state like NY, IL, and NJ, the Second Amendment is also perilously close to extinction. I'll spare you other examples, but they abound.
And here we sit, in our homes, watching the slow motion train wreck that is named The United States of America and doing the most minimal of objections; perhaps email such as this, or calls and faxes to your 'representatives' who have sworn to uphold the very rights which they hasten to ignore and subvert
- and will soon vanish. Is this how it was in the early days of the Nazi regime? How soon before you are asked to "show us your paperz" at the next 'random stop' on your local roadway.
Bin Laden did far more than take down the towers and punch a hole in the Pentagon, he gave the government a license (really, an 'excuse') to extinguish your rights. In that sense, he was a collaborator and agent provocateur acting on behalf of our government and he played us right into their hands. In the long view, Bin Laden was never the dangerous equal of those who capitalized on his acts ARE. Bin Laden is gone, but they are not.......
Who can ever forget the chilling words of Rahm Emmanuel, Obama's chief of staff and now shady-mayor of Chicago: "A crisis is a terrible thing to waste"
So be cautious; soon you may be asked to produce your "paperz" (unless you're a suspected illegal alien; that would be 'racist') at any time and in any place.
Lastly, think ahead 10 or 20 years. Where will your 'liberty' be? Will you have any 'rights' left at all?
And to think, we once fought a war of independence to free ourselves from the grip of a foreign
monarch who was never guilty of imposing such oppression upon The People. Whatever power and authority the State chooses to invest in itself, is power and personal sovereignty taken directly from you and your fellow citizens, including your offspring.
Again I ask, what the Hell happened here, and more importantly, how the Hell do we get out of this?
