Are they for elementary schools?
For secondary and college?
Only 27?
That's a pretty heavy piece of armament - like, it's military. Assault-type.
Oh - my mind is running on high octane right now. What are your thoughts about this?

The 27 new shotguns will join an already existing cache of other shotguns! We don't know how many shotguns the Dept of Ed has in total, nor do we know what other weaponry the Dept has.
I hope some enterprising journalist look into this.
