I point the finger at several things and not in any order.

Broken homes

The absence of a father/mom is at work

The feminizing of our boys - not respecting that they are species/gender specific and by nature, not "pacific".
We teach them that they must quell their masculine traits.  Not good.  They can't handle bullies; can't handle confrontation easily.  They are not taught that life is struggle; that you have to be aggressive to be successful.
I don't mean raising barbarians.  But I don't want to see them coddled, either.

Attention deficit disorders.  Boys being boys are naturally rowdy.  If a teacher can't discipline them and loses control, then they are called conveniently, deficit, and are put on psychotropic drugs.  You need to do a lot of research into the dark side of these drugs before you consider it.

Video games where blood, gore and victory comes by killing everything that moves.  It's easy to lose reality and the concepts of good and evil and right and wrong and they are isolated when they are participating.
It's addictive.

When my uncles on my Dad's side were alive, two of them were deaf and mute.  And they married deaf and mute women.  They all spoke rapidly in sign, having gone to the school for the deaf in NYC.  I never learned, unfortunately.

This makes me shriek inside.  This is so repugnant, so stupidly ignorant, so terribly offensive...how dare anyone...ANYONE...EVEN CONSIDER THIS.

The USA is going mad.  Anyone who suggests this child be made to change his name should be banished from the planet.
