Families with children?

Laid-off?

Mentally ill?

Alcoholic?

Drug addicts?

Runaways?

These and more are the cause for homelessness. Our supermarkets, restaurants and convenience stores throw out tons of food on a daily basis.

Why can't this all be used to feed our homeless no matter what the cause?

'Tis the season for baby birds...Cardinals, Thrashers and Bluebirds are all over my yard feeding babies -

Here is an excellent site to use in case you find yourself with an orphan on your hands.
Not all baby birds are orphans...I'm watching a baby thrasher being fed and worried tonight that it has enough cover to fend off prowling raccoons, opossums and the snakes. Its parents stopped feeding it at sundown and it's on the ground under cover. I may try to find it and take it in for the night, replacing it in the morning.
