Monsanto and other agri-research giants have nearly destroyed our crops. The GM seed pollen hybridizes genetically pure strains. You can't save seed from GM fruits or vegetables. They won't grow. If you do some serious searching, you will find that these GM hybrids don't always contain genes from plants - there are other monstrous genes in these and they are unproven with no information on damage (or not) past consumption.
Check out Google for Roundup ready crops. Roundup is another Monsanto product of pure evil, just as their GM seeds are.
