Howie needs a home - Remember Howie?

Hungry Howie, a nearly dead pit bull mix, was found a year ago here in the Florida swamp by Jim Thomas and his wife. Tourists, they took him to the Port St. Joe Humane Society, where Howie recovered but didn't find a home.

Now, Jim says, his rescue in Maryland has accepted Howie, who is not only handsome and sweet-natured, but waiting for a real home, with a real person or family who will understand what he's been through and love him forever.
