On a shelf in a tiny container, I have a treasure. It is an old hummingbird nest that was tucked away in the arms of an elm tree in Quartz Hill, CA. It stood in my front yard.
Today someone sent me a series of photos. Hummingbird eggs are approximately the size of a small white bean. It is a miracle that a bird can hatch from that small incubator, yet they do.
Enjoy these beautiful photographs.
I wish they'd been taken by me.
