Under "Cybersecurity", Congress Will Be the Internet's Greatest Threat!

Gird your blogs, because if liberals in Congress get their way, President Obama will have sole discretionary authority to shut down the Internet or critical parts of the Internet should he feel his presidency is being tested. Worse, under the guise of cybersecurity, Obama will essentially be granted the power to destroy free speech on the web.

On April 1st of this year, Senators Rockefeller, Snowe, Bayh and Nelson introduced bills S. 773 and S.778, collectively called the Cybersecurity Act, which would give President Obama dictatorial power over the Internet during a time of national crisis or emergency.

All of the bills' sponsors voted for the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 that prohibited organizations and individuals from running advocacy ads against candidates 60 days in advance of a general election. Now it seems these same people have conjured up a gag order for the Internet.

According to the current drafts, under the Cyber Security Act of 2009 the President may "declare a cybersecurity emergency and order the limitation or shut down of Internet traffic to and from any comprised federal government or United States critical infrastructure information system or network". He may also "order the disconnection of any Federal Government or United States critical infrastructure information systems or networks in the interest of national security."

What constitutes "cybersecurity emergency" or "critical infrastructure information system or network" is left completely up to the President to define. We know that the Administration, according to Rahm Emanuel, never wants "a serious crisis to go to waste". We also know the Administration supports the regulation of free speech on the Internet.

President Obama's choice to lead the powerful Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs is none other than Cass Sunstein, a radical Harvard law professor and supporter of the Fairness Doctrine for the Internet. According to Sunstein, "A system of limitless individual choices, with respect to communications, is not necessarily in the interest of citizenship and self-government."

Obama campaign fundraiser and FCC Chair nominee, Julius Genachowski, is a supporter of "Net neutrality", the first step in applying the Fairness Doctrine to the Internet.

"Net neutrality" proponents like Genachowski would have government decide what content Internet operators and network owners must provide. Incredibly, they claim this is to keep the Internet free and open to all, when in reality, their goal is to usher the heavy hands of federal regulators into the tent.

Stifling any venue where ideology competes with left-wing mainstream media has always been a goal of the left and Obama. Obama has just been more evasive in his means by supporting policies such as "net neutrality" and wobbling on the reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine to talk radio. Liberal members of Congress are now set on sending America on an unconstitutional b-line away from Uncle Sam and directly to Big Brother.

The Cybersecurity Act is also includes a provision where "The Department of Commerce shall serve as the clearinghouse of cybersecuirty threat and vulnerability information to the Federal Government and private sector owned (emphasis mine) critical infrastructure information systems and networks." Shelving all privacy laws including the requirement for warrants, the Secretary of Commerce "shall have access to all relevant data concerning such networks without regard to any provision of law, regulation, rule or policy restricting such access." Senator Rockefeller made it clear in his statement what "relevant data" this act could include when he stated "We must protect our critical infrastructure at all costs – from our water to our electricity, to banking, traffic lights and electronic health records – the list goes on."

While we have worried about cyber attacks from Russia and China, who would have thought the greatest threat would come from members of our own Congress.

BLOODHOUND IN NEED. WHO WANTS ONE?

T-Bone is a handsome red Bloodhound with white trim on his chest. He is a very big dog, and rather overweight. Actually, he's quite a chubby fellow. He has been in and out of the Bay County Animal Control facility a couple of times. The reason is that he is a wanderer. He is also an escape artist. He visits neighbors. He's bored.

What T-Bone needs is a constant companion who can handle his size and allow him house privileges. He is already neutered. I'm sure he would LOVE to ride in the car with you, ears flapping in the wind.

I used to own, breed and show Bloodhounds once. And if I had the room, he'd be here on the sofa, watching tv right now.

But I don't.

I fear T-Bone may be euthanized. Is there someone reading this blog who would care to adopt him? He is already neutered and so his adoption fee is reduced to approximately $40.

This is a high kill/rescue friendly facility. The Friends of BCAC can help with transportation.

There was some talk of T-Bone's having some tracking or cadaver experience in the past, but that remains sketchy, and his owner didn't give us information that was verifiable. But oh, that nose.

I don't often feel ashamed of the United States and frustrated with the American people, but I feel ashamed and angry today. Gullible Americans voted for an enemy of the United states to sit in the White House: Barack Obama. We will pay the price in blood soon enough. Our men and women in uniform will die as a result of the world chaos being created by Obama.

Please don't misconstrue my views on foreign policy. Diplomacy is essential, and diplomacy means dealing with your enemies as well as your friends. I have no problem with the State Department dealing with Venezuela, or Iran, or Cuba or North Korea. I would encourage State to do so. That's what our representatives are supposed to do. But dealing with your enemies takes a deft hand.

Barry Obama's groveling to dictators exposes him as an enemy of the American people and an enemy of freedom all around the world. Obama is a socialist saboteur who is deliberately destroying America's image and the hopes of freedom-loving people everywhere. Who is he going to grovel to next?

Those are some of the more complimentary things I can say about him today.

Watching Obama bow to the Saudi king was an embarrassment, but it didn't really change anything.

But watching Obama cavort with Hugo Chavez yesterday made me sick. No really. Sick. Obama is betraying the freedom-loving people of Venezuela.

Last fall Obama created a dirty tricks squad to smear me, and he sent his designated moron Robert Gibbs to attack me on national television. What had I done to incur the wrath of the chosen one? I said on Hannity's America: "If you love the Cuban revolution and Castro, and if you love what's happening in Venezuela with Hugo Chavez, you'll love Barry Obama."

Obama's attempt today to deflect criticism of his submission to Hugo Chavez, by comparing the dollar-value of Venezuela's defense budget to the United States' defense expenditures, is pure sophistry. No one expects Venezuela to attack the U.S.

The issue is freedom: Chavez has enslaved Venezuela and made himself a Castro-style dictator. He kills his enemies. He has bankrupted that wealthy nation. People are increasingly hungry. But William Ayers and Hugo Chavez? They love each other. Ayers was Obama's advance man in Venezuela. Billy-boy laid the foundations; Obama is building his temple of love to Chavez.

Obama has betrayed every Venezuelan who is working to preserve freedom and democracy there. Imagine how Venezuelans who are fighting Chavez' dictatorship must feel seeing Obama confer his seal of approval on Chavez. America has seldom been more disgraced by a chief executive. Barack Obama is an enemy of the American people.

Obama knew what he was planning to do if he became president, and last October he exploded when I laid out the time line of his radial connections from Ayers to Al-Mansour to Chavez and Castro, on Hannity's America. It's all there in my appearance on Sean's show.

Now you know why the extreme left and George Soros' brown shirted thugs attacked me so vehemently post-Hannity: I had decoded Obama's plans and spoken the ultimate truth about how he planned to betray the United States.

My prophesy on Hannity's program has now become a realty.

Now you know the rest of the story. And you know why last year the Obama campaign targeted me as their #1 enemy. They knew.

I tell the truth.

Every freedom-loving, loyal American is increasingly endangered by Barack Obama and his coterie of anti-American saboteurs in the White House. Is everyone who works for Obama a bad apple? Not at all. Many are good people who are supporting the work of a bad man. But I guarantee you Obama's cozying and coddling dictators is going to bear bitter fruit for the American people.

What she has done is so egregious, that Michael Savage (talk show host) and the More Law Center have filed a federal suit against her. What has been released in the document that is making so many Americans livid and very aware of their Constitutional rights, is not the rest of the story.

The rest of the story is the classified information contained in the document and Savage has filed FOIA papers to force the rest of the document into the light for us all.

Because our new (and former) government has placed their workings in the dark, it is time for us, as Americans to act, for what we don't know will hurt us.

Please call, fax or email your elected officials about removing this woman from her post. Tell them we want her fired, or "we will fire you" in the next election.
