Our government talks a big game when it talks about peace in the Middle East, but when it comes to action, it's all about flooding the place with weapons and maintaining tension. I know, I know, it's about Iran. But arming your enemy's enemies isn't always a good idea. Relationships change and sometimes things go really bad. Remember, the US government once armed Saddam Hussein in Iraq? The British and the Italians armed Moammar Gadhafi in Libya just a few years ago.
