Soft tyranny until it boils over, and we were caught with our pants down, our heads where it's dark all the time.
He is diligently whacking down the Tree of Liberty, one or two whacks with the ax a day. If it was the old oak tree in your front yard, you'd be raising a stink.
This Liberty Tree is something we all share. Today, read the Declaration of Independence.
This is the day the little handful of settler-patriots signed the culmination of a bloody war and declared for once and forever, we would be free men and women in a country, self-governed.
We are sliding backwards on that slippery slope to third world, slave status.
