IT'S TIME FOR SEED CATALOGS, ISN'T IT?

OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH....do I have a case of spring fever. Not only do I want goats again, but I want to really, really earnestly want to grow a garden, and I'm thinking of raised beds. I have a very shady yard, but I do have a couple of places that let in the sun.

So I went hunting for non-GM seeds and found Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds (rareseeds.com) and ordered their mail order catalog.

It's nothing less than amazing.

They even have a magazine called "The Heirloom Gardener" for $12/yr.

I am impressed. The seeds come from all over the world, and I can't wait to bring this to show to my friend down the street. Before she became ill, we worked and gardened in her yard. We had the most productive, beautiful garden, and a wheelbarrow full of redskin potatoes - OUR POTATOES - graced the cover of "Mother Earth" magazine one year.

Please take a look. And if you can recommend another non-GM seed catalog, please do! Just leave a comment here.
