Are you surprised? I'm not. Not after watching Jay Leno's "Jaywalking" on Youtube. The laugh track makes me ill.
Persuade your children to learn a trade. I am convinced that no matter what trade we're talking about, my cousin, the plumber, has it MADE. He learned, he worked for a plumbing business, bought a house, had the family, moved, built a house and struck out on his own. Employed 8 or more plumbers, bought a fleet of trucks and equipment and his wife runs the office. Now his son works for him and will keep the business going if his father decides to retire.
People will always need their plumbing fixed, their drains cleaned, their toilets running, their septic tanks pumped, and in winter in the cold states, their pipes unfrozen and their rooftops cleaned of snowload.
That's the American dream.
