The sky is falling again. A blight "ravaging" citrus groves apparently originates in China.
Why are we importing foods from China or anyplace else when we can grow our own quite nicely here?
I don't buy imported produce.
It's dangerous.
I won't buy GM food if I know about it.
You can't tangle with Mother Nature and make it better.
I have a compost heap and the citrus tree I planted years ago from a four incher (from a pit) finally bloomed during the late part of the summer - it's about 12 feet tall now, and there is one perfect tangerine ripening near the top. I shake the tree every day, I am so anticipating the harvest of that one tangerine.
Don't let the government take over every phase of your life, cradle to grave. You have a choice.
You have the right to talk to your food market and say "NO". No more imports.
