There will never be peace. These people are from the sixth or seventh century mindset. We should take the oil we were promised and leave. We will have won understanding that they would rather live in endless war with themselves. By our efforts even though our soldiers were strangled by regulations, they won. Bring them home as heroes.
Let Afghanistan's people grow their poppies and live in caves.
There is no end in sight and there never will be.
Defeatist? Never.
We are fighting a bigger enemy here at home.
