HOMELAND SECURITY TO BUY 3,000 DOGS FROM BREEDERS WHEN WE HAVE A PET POPULATION PROBLEM - AND DRAIN TAXPAYERS FOR MORE AND $4,000 A PUP!

https://secure.peta.org/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=3237

I don't care if you think PETA's way over the top. On some issues, they do important work and this is one of them. We have beautiful, purebred and mixed breed dogs in every high kill/or no kill shelter all over the country who would be happy to help Homeland Security with the "right" dogs for whatever job that needs to be done.

The price tag to the taxpayer is over $4,000 per dog and that is just the purchase price. The training and time will be additional.

Please consider signing this petition. As a dog lover, with 9 wonderful rescues of pure and mixed breeds, each has at least one outstanding talent. Jack, who is my icon, can find anything you hide in record time. He'd be all over a drug laden package and if you had a deep pocket, he could fit. He's only about 9 inches tall.

My German Shepherd is very "keen" and a bit aggressive. She could be a security dog with little training.

We are a country of animal lovers. We need to stop this now - or at least change Big Sis's mind (Janet Napolitano - who has never had a complete thought in her life, apparently - not where spending alternatives matter, anyway. That she is the worst at her job, generally, is another topic.)

Come on, save some dogs - fill out the poll and send it on. If there is room for comment, please do so. Now I'm going to click "Publish", send this to you and fill out my form.
