I thank Eowyn for the opportunity to a segue.

I keep the radio on most mornings and on into evening. About the time I was making the bed, Glenn Beck (though I'm not one of his biggest fans) mentioned the liberals of the 60s, and oh, how remember those troubled days. I was a proud Democrat, but never was into demonstrating. I was very familiar with the terms "Never trust anyone over 30" and "Question authority". The Viet Nam war raged, and the slaughter was shown in black and white on the tv nightly and our sullied past was exposed in the struggle for civil rights.

Burning bras for woman's rights (gross - what a waste of pretty underwear), and American flags in protest of the government, segregation and the war, the most active turned their backs on our veterans as they came home. That turned my stomach. They protested segregation - they protested EVERYTHING. They questioned authority! And probably, their noisy rebellion, their questions like the squeaky wheel, helped to put an end to the war, and an end to segregation.

Oh, how they protested and questioned authority! But it is 40 or so years later, and now those same liberals are firmly entrenched in our government. They have gray hair, like me. The women need their bras, unless their implants are still firm; the men are balding and saggy, we all wear spectacles, and they want US, THE LIBERALS WHO CHANGED THEIR MINDS, BEGAN THE JOURNEY TO CONSERVATISM AND BEGAN TO UNDERSTAND WHAT GOVERNMENT IS MEANT TO DO - ITS PLACE IN THE AMERICAN CULTURE - AND THE IMPORTANCE OF CONSTITUTIONAL LAW, NOW THEY WANT US TO SHUT THE HELL UP.

These people, who took their beef to the street, who formed angry, loud, destructive crowds, who were shot with rubber bullets, and sometimes the real thing, water cannons, pursued by SWATS and the full fury of law enforcement who subdued them with batons, want US, the conservatives, to SHUT UP. SHUT UP, DON'T QUESTION, ACCEPT, ACQUIESCE, SUBMIT BUT ABOVE ALL, SHUT UP AND DON'T QUESTION OUR AUTHORITY.

As conservatives we stand for our Constitution quietly and with dignity; we do not cause noisy riots, there is no looting of property while we demonstrate and carry our signs (sticks and stones will break my bones, but names can never hurt me), we are not hurling Molotov cocktails or setting fire to vehicles or tires in the street or rolling vehicles and setting them afire. We do not, like the 60s liberals, want to overthrow the government violently. Instead, we will work quietly and ceaselessly and blog non-violently to promote the return to Constitutional government.

We have made ourselves known. We stand between the Obama regime and the country, protecting the principles of Constitutional government. The polls are ours, we are winning, and we have an unqualified right to know what our government is doing in the dark. Our President, sequestered with his Communist/Socialist/Progressive/Marxist/Stalinist minions, ignore us.

Like water on rock, we will prevail.

They forgot how they got there. They questioned authority.

It is our mandate under the Constitution as conservatives to at least do that. So ask.
Demand to be answered. It will work.
